Fatal Resolve is a Quest for Hollow Knight Silksong. Fatal Resolve is a Wayfarer Quest that players can unlock in Act 3 of the game. This quest can be picked up at the Quest Board in Bellhart and it's objective comes from Pinstress who calls for a challenge to those who could help her fulfill her wish to fight one last time. This quest sends Hornet to traverse the lands of Pharloom to Blasted Steps to look for Pinstress in her home, and then to Mount Fay to fight her.

How to Start Fatal Resolve Quest in Hollow Knight Silksong

• Players must be in Act 3 and complete Awaiting the End to unlock Fatal Resolve.
• Players need to interact with the Quest Board in Bellhart to start Fatal Resolve.

How to Reach Act 3 in Hollow Knight Silksong

• Complete all Side Quests, except repeatable deliveries (these are quests that you get from Tipp and Pill's shop in Bellhart)
• Complete Pharloom's Crown: Your objective is to learn three melodies to ascend to the Citadel.
• Reach The Cradle and fight Lace.
• Return to Songclave and speak to the Caretaker to learn about how to ensnare Grand Mother Silk, which prompts the Silk and Soul quest. 
• When facing the Grand Mother Silk, choose to play Needolin instead of binding her. 
• NOTE: During our playthrough, we've discovered that the option to play the Needolin after defeating Grand Mother Silk will not be available if you did not complete Silk and Soul.
• After playing the Needolin, this will trigger a sequence, and then credits will roll and players will be sent to the main menu. The save file will then be transformed with black weaves that you need to break by clicking repeatedly. Upon doing so, you will start the secret Act 3

How to Complete Fatal Resolve Quest in Hollow Knight Silksong

To begin the Fatal Resolve quest, interact with the Wishwall in Bellhart and accept it. Then, fast travel to the Blasted Steps Bellway Station and follow the pathway marked in the image below.

Once you reach the area, carefully make your way across the platforms without falling. Use the Drifter's Cloak, Clawline, Swift Step, and Faydown Cloak abilities to climb up to the blimp above. Enter the blimp and interact with the note left by the Pinstress. After reading it, your next destination will be Mount Fay.

The nearest fast travel point is the Bellway Station in The Slab. From there, follow the path shown in the image below.

From the Bellway Station, head left to reach Mount Fay. Once you arrive, you’ll find a pin on the left side of the platform you can interact with to track the Pinstress’ trail. Start at the first pin, stand directly above it, and use Silk Soar to ascend onto a floating platform. From there, jump left and use Cling Grip to wall jump up to the next floating platform, where you’ll find the second pin. Interact with it to continue following her path.

Next, use your Clawline to swing across the hanging ring, leap from the breakable floating platform, then jump left and wall jump upward. Continue ascending carefully, following the route while avoiding the spikes along the way. After exiting the first spike section, wall jump to the right and use your Clawline to swing across. Jump off the Driftlins in the area to reach the next pin on the right side. Interact with it, then continue following the trail upward.

As you ascend, you’ll encounter several more pins marking the Pinstress’ path. Once you reach the ledge on the left, climb onto the floating platform above. From there, leap off and use your Clawline on both the Driftlins and the hanging rings to scale higher. Keep ascending until you reach the upper chamber, then enter to proceed.

At the top, you’ll find the next pin resting on the ground to the right. Interact with it, then follow the trail upward. Jump off the wall, cling to the hanging rings and Driftlins, and jump off them to ascend through the area. Be careful, this section is also lined with spikes.

At the top, you’ll find the Pinstress lying on the ground, covered in snow. Strike her several times to wake her, then speak to her. During the conversation, you’ll be given the option to challenge her and initiate a boss fight. For a full walkthrough on how to defeat this boss, please visit the Pinstress (Boss) page.

After defeating the Pinstress, speak to her again. After the conversation, the Fatal Resolve quest will be completed, and you’ll receive the Pin Badge as your reward.
