Locations in Hollow Knight Silksong refer to the various areas and sub-areas that players will discover and explore, all within the new and mysterious kingdom of Pharloom, where the game takes place. Similar to the original Hollow Knight's Hallownest, Pharloom is comprised of various interconnected zones that Hornet must traverse in order to unravel the mystery of this unfamiliar land. Basing off of the original game, it can be speculated that Hollow Knight: Silksong will continue the traditional exploration mechanics prevalent in Metroidvania titles, including challenging platforming sections, secret encounters, locked and hidden areas that require special equipment or abilities, and more.
In Hollow Knight: Silksong, as we noticed in the new release date trailer, the Locations are more atmospheric; you'll find it more immersive, and the environment is more interactive. You can use some of the obstacles to traverse the area and enjoy a lot of floating because you can use some objects in the area to dash on, do a double jump, or even mount them to get from point A to point B. We'll know more about Locations once the game is released on September 4, 2025. This page will be updated as more information becomes available.
