Golden Order Fundamentalism is a strict religious practice in Elden Ring. It holds the Elden Ring and Queen Marika's rule as perfect and absolute. Any perceived imperfections or threats to the Golden Order are subsequently wiped out or excluded by its members. Even the act of accusing the Golden Order of being flawed is deemed heretical. Golden Order Fundamentalism Lore
Golden Order Fundamentalism began with Radagon of the Golden Order as he studied sorceries during his time as husband to Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, and later studied incantations as the Lord consort to Queen Marika. He became adept at both, as fundamentalism is considered scholarship in all but name. Golden Order Fundamentalism is unique in that it infuses both intelligence and faith for its incantations and sacred seal. The practice is predicated on two primary concepts, the law of regression and the law of causality. Regression is described as the pull of meaning; that all things yearn eternally to converge. While causality is the pull between meanings; that which links all things in a chain of relation. This language is similar to Miriel, Pastor of Vows dialogue when given any prayerbook; "Oh, what have we here? Very well, let us both learn together. Heresy is not native to the world; it is but a contrivance. All things can be conjoined". Miriel speaks with familiarity about Radagon, and knows far more about him than most characters. It could be inferred that the two knew each other during Radagon's time at Rennala's side studying sorceries, and when Radagon later cleansed himself at the Church of Vows with Celestial Dew. However, Golden Order Fundamentalism is not as accepting as Miriel is, and incantations were created for hunters to cleanse Those Who Live in Death.
Seen as a pox to the Golden Order, Those Who Live in Death are the result of spirits returning to life as undead rather than to the Erdtree. Deemed abhorrent by those of the Golden Order, fundamentalists hunted them down without mercy. D, Hunter of the Dead, and D, Beholder of Death were among those who held Those Who Live in Death in contempt. The two known as D were inseparable, and found solace in the Golden Order, as it was the only institution not to revile them as accursed beings. As such they followed the tenets to the point of fanaticism. But the ever brilliant Goldmask lamented what had become of the hunters according to the Order Healing description, how easy it is for learning and learnedness to be reduced to the ravings of fanatics; all the good and the great wanted, in their foolishness, was an absolute evil to contend with. Does such a notion exist in the fundamentals of Order? Goldmask was a staunch believer in Golden Order Fundamentalism, but was not beneath pointing out its flaws and trying to uncover a solution. At the end of his pursuit he envisioned a ring, a blazing golden halo symbolizing the perfection of order. He was not the only one to be unsatisfied with the Golden Order's teachings. The young Empyrean Miquella was a gifted prodigy who learned Golden Order Fundamentalism and gifted his father with offensive spells that were made of rings of light. He however could not grant his half-brother Godwyn a true death nor cure his twin sister Malenia of her Scarlet Rot, and so abandoned fundamentalism and instead invested his knowledge in unalloyed gold.

Radagon's Rings of Light
One of the incantations of the Golden Order fundamentalists. 'A gift of gratitude to the young Miquella from his father, 'Radagon.
Produces a golden ring of light and fires it across a wide area. 'Charging enhances range.
And yet, the young Miquella abandoned fundamentalism, for it 'could do nothing to treat Malenia's accursed rot. This was the 'beginning of unalloyed gold.
Order Healing
One of the incantations of the Golden Order fundamentalists. 'Used by hunters of Those Who Live in Death. 'Alleviates death blight buildup.
The noble Goldmask lamented what had become of the hunters. 'How easy it is for learning and learnedness to be reduced to the 'ravings of fanatics; all the good and the great wanted, in their 'foolishness, was an absolute evil to contend with.
Does such a notion exist in the fundamentals of Order?
Pulley Bow
Longbow which utilizes a series of pulleys and strings. The complex mechanism, which required advanced mathematical and mechanical understanding to craft, was likely made by a certain genius who learned Golden Order Fundamentalism.
Enhances precision while shooting, enabling arrows to fly much further distances.
Twinned Armor
Armor depicting entwined twins of gold and silver.
The two known as D are inseparable twins. They are of two bodies and two minds, but one single soul. Not once do they stand together; not one word do they speak to one another.
Perhaps this armor longs to find its way to the other D.
Golden Order Greatsword
Greatsword made of light, modeled after the Elden Ring itself. Forged by King Consort Radagon to proudly symbolize the tenets of the Golden Order.
One of the legendary armaments.
Telltale signs betray that this was once the greatsword bequeathed to him by his first wife, Rennala.
Radagon Icon
A legendary talisman depicting the Elden Lord Radagon. 'Shortens the casting time of sorceries and incantations.
As the husband of Rennala of Caria, the red-haired Radagon studied sorcery, and as the husband of Queen Marika, he studied 'incantations. Thus did the hero aspire to be complete.
Radiant Gold Mask
A mask designed to resemble a blazing golden halo. Created and left behind by Lord Goldmask, a staunch pursuer of Golden Order fundamentalism. Strenthens Golden Order incantations.
Its striking design represents both the brilliant inspiration that once shone upon him, and the vision of a ring that he will surely find at the end of his pursuit.

Mending Rune of Perfect Order
Rune discovered by the noble Goldmask. 'Used to restore the fractured Elden Ring when brandished by the Elden Lord.
A rune of transcendental ideology which will attempt to perfect the Golden Order.
The current imperfection of the Golden Order, or instability of ideology, can be blamed upon the fickleness of the gods no better than men. That is the fly in the ointment.

Miriel, Pastor of Vows
You wish to know more of Lord Radagon? Lord Radagon was a great champion, possessed of flowing red locks. He came to these lands at the head of a great golden host, when he met Lady Rennala in battle. He soon repented his territorial aggressions though, and became husband to the Carian Queen.
However, when Godfrey, first Elden Lord, was hounded from the Lands Between, Radagon left Rennala to return to the Erdtree Capital, becoming Queen Marika's second husband and King Consort, taking the title...of second Elden Lord.
The mystery endures, to this day... As to why Lord Radagon would cast Lady Rennala aside... and moreover...why a mere champion would be chosen for the seat of Elden Lord.
You know, it's said that Lord Radagon harboured a secret... A famed sculptor of the Erdtree Capital was once summoned to render Lord Radagon's likeness in giant stature. When he glimpsed the skeleton in Radagon's closet. And as such, it's said the great statue harbours his secret too.
