Favorite Games

Hamza considers Mass Effect 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Red Dead Redemption 2, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pokemon LeafGreen, The Witcher 3, Crimson Desert, Subnautica, and Elden Ring to be his top 10 favorite games of all time.
 

But, gun to his head, if he had to choose just one game to play for the rest of his life, it would be The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim loaded up with 5000+ mods of his choosing.

Returning to Skyrim to see what the modding community has cooked up, filling up his hard drive with hundreds of gigabytes worth of mods, troubleshooting the load order errors to make sure everything runs smoothly, is practically a monthly ritual for him. That he never manages to finish a playthrough before a shiny new mod makes him do it all over again is beside the point.

Industry Focus

From ARPGs like Path of Exile 2 to platformers like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Hamza has covered a wide selection of games from different genres. His extensive experience writing about different types of games has allowed him to become accustomed to learning on the job. 


Open-world games in the vein of Crimson Desert and Skyrim, isometric role-playing games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Pathfinder, and survival crafting games like Subnautica and Enshrouded are his specialties, and the gaming genres he is most knowledgeable about. 

Favorite Console

The Game Boy Advance is the console Hamza remembers most fondly. Though, funnily enough, he has never personally owned one in his entire life.


Growing up, a kid on the block he used to live on had a GBA gifted to him on his birthday, along with a copy of Pokemon LeafGreen. That friend used to come over to his house to learn how to play the game. Hamza was the local Pokemon expert back then, at least among kids his age, and the evening hours he spent teaching that friend the basics of Pokemon battling, puzzling out how to progress the story, and hunting for shinies for hours on end are among his most cherished memories.
