Ordovis's Vortex is a Skill in Elden Ring. Ordovis's Vortex allows the user to spin the blade before slamming it down, it can be charged to increase its power. Updated to Patch 1.07.

Elden Ring Ordovis's Vortex Guide

• This is a Unique Skill
• FP Cost: 15
• This Skill is Chargeable
• This Skill cannot be Parried
  • This Skill can be Parried if performed with no Focus
• Damage type is Physical Damage and Holy Damage, though mostly Physical
• Deals 19 stance damage when uncharged, and 66 stance damage when fully charged.
• Damage scales with weapon upgrade level, Strength and Faith (and Dexterity to a lesser extent)
• As a chargeable weapon skill, the Godfrey Icon and Shard of Alexander will both increase the damage of the Vortex.
• The skill grants a good amount of Poise, making it hard to interrupt.
• The Vortex is slow, meaning you'll need either proper timing or high poise to pull off a full charge. It has an AOE so can take out multiple enemies, and when you slam it into the ground it has a ripple effect depending on how much Vortex was charged. These ripples each due rapid damage that quickly stacks up, and they cause enemies to stagger on each one. If you're quick with a heavy follow up, you can cause a stance break.

Note: This Skill was changed with Patch 1.07 as follows:

• Attack power, motion speed and poise damage have been increased.
• Poise during casting has been increased.
• Delay between the end of various actions (like using items or attack animations) and being able to perform the skill has been reduced.
