Causality's Wrath | Elden Ring Wiki
From Elden Ring Wiki
Causality's Wrath is a Skill in Elden Ring. It was added with the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition. Causality's Wrath operates on a causality mechanic, allowing the user to absorb incoming hits to charge a devastating holy area-of-effect explosion.
How to get Causality's Wrath in Elden Ring
- Default skill for the Golden Order Flail.
- The weapon can be obtained in Leyndell, Royal Capital. IMPORTANT: This event is highly missable. You must trigger the invasion and obtain the weapon before defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade and turning the area into the Ashen Capital.
- To reveal the secret, you must cast the Incantation Law of Regression, which requires 37 INT. You can purchase this incantation from Miriel, Pastor of Vows or Brother Corhyn after giving them the Golden Order Principia (found on a corpse in a hanging chair in the upper level of the Erdtree Sanctuary).
- Start from the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace and head down the elevator and stairs to the large Statue of Radagon. Stand directly on the developer message discussing regression on the floor in front of the statue, and cast Law of Regression.
- If done correctly, this will trigger the Noble Broken Mask invasion. Defeat the invader to acquire the Golden Order Flail and the Golden Order Set.
Elden Ring Causality's Wrath Guide, Notes & Tips
- This is a Unique Skill
- FP Cost: 24 (The initial cast costs 24 FP, while the secondary detonation input costs 0 FP).
- This Skill is not Chargeable in the traditional sense, but builds power through a tier system based on the number of hits taken, completely independent of the amount of damage received.
- The first input summons a protective bubble around your character that lasts for approximately 90 seconds.
- Each time you receive an incoming hit while the bubble is active, the skill gains a charge tier. The hit must register as actual damage or a valid hitbox; perfectly blocking with a 100% physical block shield may prevent stacks from building. Using a shield with slightly less than 100% block to allow small chip damage works best.
- After building charge, perform a second skill input to unleash the explosion that deals Holy Damage.
- Night Maiden's Mist can be used to deal small amounts of self-damage to reliably charge the skill tiers without relying on enemies.
- Damage is boosted by the Sacred Scorpion Charm (increases Holy Damage). It is also reportedly buffed by the Broken Gold Mask helmet dropped by the invader (based on community testing). Note that this new helmet is a distinct item and should not be confused with the base game's Radiant Gold Mask.
