Dragon Communion Incantations are a group of Incantations in Elden Ring that share a crest, characteristics, or a specific type of buff criteria. Dragon Communion Incantations revolve around using draconic powers and breath attacks to deal damage. Dragon Communion is seen as a dangerous practice.
There are a total of 16 Dragon Communion Incantations, Placidusax's Ruin excluded, available for players. Dragon Communion Incantations can be purchased at different altars and use 
Dragon Heart as currency, instead of 
Runes. Defeating draconic enemies throughout the Lands Between is the most common way of obtaining them.
Shadow of the Erdtree adds 3 Dragon Communion Incantations: Bayle's Flame Lightning, and Ghostflame Breath.
Dragon Communion Incantations info
Obtaining Dragon Communion Incantations
- Church of Dragon Communion, located in Limgrave. Proceed through the Coastal Cave to reach this area.
- Incantations available by default: Dragonmaw, Dragonclaw, and Dragonfire.
- Cathedral of Dragon Communion, located in southern Caelid past Decaying Ekzykes.
- Incantations available by default: Dragonmaw, Dragonclaw, Dragonfire, Glintstone Breath, Rotten Breath and Dragonice.
- Grand Altar of Dragon Communion, located in Jagged Peak. Proceed through the Dragon's Pit to reach this area.
- Incantation available by default: Ghostflame Breath.
- Other Dragon Communion Incantations are locked to specific Dragon Bosses. For example, defeating Flying Dragon Agheel at Dragon-Burnt Ruins unlocks Agheel's Flame for purchase.
- Placidusax's Ruin: Obtained from the Remembrance of the Dragonlord.
- Bayle's Tyranny and Bayle's Fire Lightning: Trade the Heart of Bayle for either of these incantations at the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. Only one of these incantations can be received per playthrough.
Dragon Communion Incantation Requirements
- As is the case with all Incantations, you must have a catalyst equipped in order to be able to cast Dragon Communion Incantations.
- Dragon Communion Incantations require Faith and Arcane to use.
- Dragon Communion Incantations cost a varying amount of Dragon Hearts. (From 1 to 3) They are dropped by greater Dragons throughout the game.
- NOTE: After obtaining 4 dragon communion incantations from trading in Dragon Hearts your character's eyes will change. The whites of the eyes turn black and irises gold, with the pupils becoming serpent-like slits. If your eyes have already been changed by Varre's questline or inheriting the Frenzied Flame, you will not receive draconic eyes until the next NG+ cycle. One can remove eye alterations at Fia's Mirror in the Roundtable Hold.
Boosting Dragon Communion Incantations
- Dragon Communion Seal provides a 15% boost in damage for most Dragon Communion Incantations.
- Roar Medallion boosts damage of breath and roar-based Incantations by 10% (5% in PvP), as of Patch 1.09.
- Rock Heart boosts most Dragon Communion Incantations by 20% for 60 seconds after transforming into draconic form and re-activating the item.
- NOTE: Placidusax's Ruin does not benefit from either Dragon Communion Seal or Rock Heart, but it still receives a boost from the Roar Medallion.
