Superior Darkvision Tips & Notes
- When acquired through Ranger (Gloom Stalker), your Darkvision will become 24m, regardless of the level of Darkvision you had previously.
- This will also give you an advantage in combat when you are in dark areas such as caves, as you will have a higher chance of hitting enemies. As opposed to other races with no Dark Vision, they would need to have an alternative light source.
- This only works on normal darkness, it won't bypass magical darkness unlike Devil's Sight.
- Superior Darkvision gives you an advantage over Darkvision any time you do a ranged attack from more than 12m.

Anonymouswhat exactly darkvision does? i mean yeah - u see in darkness. But what influence this have with ur attacks? Does my attacks get bonus to attack so i can have better chances to hit enemy? If so, then - how big this bonus are?

AnonymousCan anyone confirm if this is a constant passive when granted by Gloom stalker? I read somewhere else that someone said the sight was a once per long rest spell when aquired via the subclass.

AnonymousDoes it work with magical darkness (like devil's sight) or only with normal darkness?

AnonymousAre there instances where superior darkvision to 24m lets you have an advantage of normal 12m darkvision?

Duergar also gets this as a racial bonus.
