Knight of Thorns Build | Elden Ring Wiki
Knight of Thorns is a Build for Elden Ring.
Why Play the Knight of Thorns Build in Elden Ring
A Shadow of the Erdtree Impenetrable Thorns build that can build up Hemorrhage quickly.
Since this build takes place so late in the game, class doesn’t really feel relevant for it, so use whichever you want. For flasks, use whatever you want, but it is recommended having at least 5 Cerulean flasks for consistent casting.
For stats, the friend has 60 VIG, 25 MIN, 10 END, 11 STR, 13 DEX, 10 INT, 24 FTH, and 80 ARC. It is recommended having 80 Arcane to maximize Blood Loss buildup, but everything else is up to you.
Finally, Impenetrable Thorns, the very foundation of which this build is… built upon. It is recommended casting as close to an enemy as possible because according to the friend it’s more effective that way. Also, if you want to start the build earlier than the DLC, you could grab Briars of Punishment in the Mountaintops of the Giants, since it’s basically just Impenetrable Thorns but red.
Knight of Thorns Build Requirements
To use everything in this build you need at least 24 Faith. Anything above those numbers goes into damage and survivability rather than meeting requirements.
Knight of Thorns Build Gear
For weapons, it is recommended the Ripple Blade for its pure Arcane scaling, but you could use any Blood Loss weapon too. Also consider either the Albinauric Staff or the Staff of the Guilty. The Albinauric Staff has Arcane scaling, but the Staff of the Guilty would boost Impenetrable Thorns, so it’s your choice. A second Staff of the Guilty in the offhand is also preferable for the added passive. For armor, it is recommended Alberich’s set, because it boosts Impenetrable Thorns, except for the pants.
For talismans, it is recommended Lord of Blood’s Exultation, which boosts your attack power whenever blood loss occurs, the Graven-Mass Talisman, which boosts sorceries by 8%, and the Dragoncrest Greatshield, since the physical defense from Alberich’s set is pretty lacking. For the last talisman you could use the Radagon Icon to boost spell casting speed, but it doesn’t really matter.
