Falling Stars Lore

Lifeforms born from falling stars or in the lightless dark far beyond are not native to the Lands Between. Weapons made of meteoric material orengraved with the gravity crest such as the Meteoric Ore Blade or Starscourge Greatsword deal additional damage to these creatures. The first of these creatures was Metyr, Mother of Fingers. She was a magnificently gleaming daughter of The Greater Will, and the first shooting star to fall upon the Lands Between. The Mother received signs from the Greater Will from the beyond of the microcosm. Despite being broken and abandoned, she kept waiting for another message to come. The dear fingers look after their mother, or perhaps that is merely what their mother wishes to believe. Another one of these beings is Astel, Naturalborn of the Void , a malformed star born in the flightless void far away. Once destroyed an Eternal City and took away their sky. It is a falling star of ill omen. Astel is moreso the name designated to the species, which includes Astel, Stars of Darkness in Yelough Anix Tunnel and the Malformed Stars that can also be found underground. Similarly alien looking creatures include the Fallingstar Beasts, which can become quite large when fully grown.

Races of ancients with skin of stone who were said to have risen to life when a meteor struck long ago include the Alabaster and Onyx Lords. Onyx Lords were called lords in reverential fear of their destructive power. Due to their behavior in Yelough Anix Tunnel and conflicting gravitational powers, the two similar races seem opposed to each other. Starscourge Radahn learned gravitational sorcery from an Alabaster Lord in Sellia during his younger days. All so he would never have to abandon his beloved but scrawny steed, and so that he could challenge the stars. The mightiest hero of the demigods confronted the falling stars alone—and thus did he crush them, his conquest sealing the very fate of the stars.
