Marksman's Stone | Mortal Shell 2

Marksman's Stone is a Tarstone in Mortal Shell 2. Marksman's Stone can be attached to the shell to grant Critical Chance when attacking enemies with ranged weapons. Tarstones are items that can be infused into equipment or the shell that grant passive effects or modify an action, changing the movements and actions of the Harbinger or the equipped shell.

Where to Find Marksman's Stone in Mortal Shell 2

The Marksman's Stone can be looted from a chest near the trial area outside of Mushroom Village Gate (east of the Mushroom Village). While facing the Mushroom Village beacon, head to the area on the right and proceed to the wooden posts with hanged bodies. Walk down the ramp with a wooden pathway. Once you reach the clearing with a pile of corpses, walk past the rotting tree and cross the bridge behind it. Complete the trial here to reveal an area behind the darkened roots. You can find the bone chest at the end, which you can open to get the Marksman's Stone.

Marksman's Stone Effects in Mortal Shell 2

Level 1: Improves ranged Critical Chance
Level 2: Ranged attacks have +10% Critical Chance
Level 3: Ranged attacks have +12% Critical Chance
Level 4: Ranged attacks have +15% Critical Chance

How to Upgrade Marksman's Stone Tarstones in Mortal Shell 2

You can upgrade your Tarstones by giving Franz the Etching Needle, a quest item that expands the upgrade options of the Tarforge in the Marrow Keep. The Etching Needle can be looted from a chest right before fighting Magdalena, the Lady of the Woods Boss fight. When you see Ruk past the bridge, jump down the opening and turn right before the tunnel to find a small section with a bone chest. Loot this chest to get the Etching Needles.

After you acquire the Etching Needles, make sure to equip the Tarstone and slay enemies to increase the experience. Once the XP bar is full, you can go back to Franz in Marrow Keep to upgrade the Marksman's Stone to the next level, which costs Coin per upgrade.
