When is the release date of Mortal Shell 2?

Mortal Shell 2 was released on the 20th of August 2026 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Beta Test has been announced to be held in early 2026 exclusively for PC, with the registration currently ongoing on the Mortal Shell official website.

What are Shells in Mortal Shell 2?

Shells are the class-based system of Mortal Shell' 2', wherein the protagonist (Harbinger) can occupy the remains of fallen warriors found as they progress through the game. Each Shell will have unique Abilities and combat proficiencies that allow players to choose their preferred playstyle.

Technical Requirements for Mortal Shell 2

Currently, only the minimum requirements have been announced for playing Mortal Shell 2 on PC. These specifications will be enough to run Mortal Shell 2 at the lowest graphical fidelity. This section will be updated once the recommended specifications are announced.

How many weapons are there in Mortal Shell 2?

In the announcement trailer of Mortal Shell 2, weapons have been showcased in combat sequences. It is still unconfirmed, but it looks like all weapons from the first Mortal Shell are returning, and these are: Hallowed Sword, Hammer and Chisel, Martyr's Blade, Smoldering Mace, Axatana, and the Ballistazooka. There are also additional new weapons showcased, such as a rapid-firing crossbow, a firearm similar to a shotgun, and a crossbow that can be imbued with elemental attacks.
