It's internet multiplayer in the current year, of course people will use meta strategies to suck all the fun out but you should strive to have fun in spite of that. No one should be getting this mad over pixels on a screen and if they are then please take a break, have a sandwich and sip some water.

Also the mask looks ugly so I never use it even in PvE, I just slot Lord of Blood's Exultation.

Why are white mask wearers always the most insufferable people in this game? This isn't a dig at the item itself, it's just simply become a very widespread stereotype and I'm hoping someone could shed some light on this topic

They should have made this look like the Hunters cap from bloodborne so it looks like a bloodborne build instead of a killer from a cheesy slasher movie.

Pros:
- +6% more damage for 20 seconds upon bleed proc (absolutely astonishing)
- You get to join the herd as a sheep, just as Varre intended
- You are given a free victim card

Cons:
- A very negative stereotype
- Horrendous fashion. Like seriously wtf is this
- A detriment to your intelligence
- Your controller is now bound to two buttons
- Pretty bad defensive stats for its weight
- Your weapon choice is limited to RoB, dual curved swords, or dual twinblades
- Forced to use a summon for every boss fight and then complain that the game is too easy
- You are permanently stuck with a friend who either has the exact same build or is an int build with 15 vigor and only has comet
- The inability to learn
- An extremely weak mental
- The sudden urge to jump and/or L2 nonstop
- You are stuck with the mindset that you believe you are always right no matter what
- The need to quit everything the moment something slightly inconvenient happens

Let me tell you son, this mask may not look great. But sometimes a bleed build gotta get their numbers up. I personally wear the bandit mask, but if a tryhard invades while I'm helping someone, the white mask ensures a 6% more. Which is not a lot. But stacked with other boosts like prosthesys, lord of blood's, sacred flesh etc, that little white mask might make sense in these tiring "one shot or get one shot" times. Of course after combo'ing their ass back to where they belong, I'll do the calm down emote, and switch back to the bandit mask. Moral of the story: Gid gud, son.

I could swear it was a 20% increase ... either they shadownerfed it when I wasn't looking -admittedly it's been a while since I ran with my bleed based "Vladdy D. Addy" build, so that could be; or, I may be outright misremembering, possibly mistaking it for the Lord of Blood's Exultation (except the problem with that is I think they used to be the same effect and can stack, could be mistaken). P.S don't ask about the build name, it was a dare, I was drunk; not my proudest moment, but 50$ is 50$.

its not that its ugly, its that i cant remove the headwraps. if i could just have a cool mask then i could work with that, but being stuck with the mohg hijab makes it always terrible to fit into fashion.

After dying to several white-mask bloodflame katana gankers in a row, I had to double-check... that passive effect is more insane than I remember. My bad for adopting a Grim Reaper cosplay bleed build! I might have to keep this in my back pocket for when I detect that I'm not invading actual co-opers...

At this point it feels like a third of my invading toolkit has the "only use this if they use it" label (uplifting aromatic, starlight shards etc)

I do like this ability, but it being slapped on every bleed build makes it really common and boring. If I had to nerf it, I'd have it give you a damage vulnerability like the guardian garb (full bloom), or else cause you to take a small amount of bleed build-up on every swing to add a risk/reward factor.

Nevermind about that being locked out of getting it after beating varre, it's actually the invader directly west next to the tree by the south edge of the cliff, not the one to the northwest by the bird.

It's not mohg that you have to avoid killing, it's varre in his quest. I was trying to beat mohg and figured this would help, but it didn't drop from the invader slightly northwest of the palace approach ledge-road site of grace. I have varre's bouquet, but am locked out of the mask

I saw one guy using this mask and Mohg's fork in the Great Jar chalenge. That demon was probably using lord o blood's exultation, the weapon may be at max upgrade... he killed me just spamming NIHIL. I was exploding in blood, being staggered, exploded again, using red juice, exploding again until I died. That was not funny, how can a man be able to feel good playing with that build? Imagine it against a bleeding immune enemy. Terrible elden lord he would be.

Try it with the Confessor Armor, Black Knife Gauntlets, Greaves of Solitude, and Wolf Crest Shield. Looks great and has decent damage negation and 52 poise.

With the release of the Ansbach set, bleed builds finally have a choice: wear the full thing to look like Darth Vader, or swap in the White Mask to look like Emperor Palpatine. I'm going with the latter, leveling Faith, and equipping Frozen Lightning Spear for UNLIMITED POWAH!!!

I love and hate this mask at the same time. It's the ugliest piece of garbage ever conceived. It goes with 3 armours: Marais, Godskin Noble, War Surgeon – and naked. I f**king love Varré so I love seeing people wear this glimpsing the other Tarnished. If I hated Varré this mask would be my nightmare because the buff is still good, but you're essentially forced to wear it and it's very ugly. Personally I'm all arcane and having a blast spreading bleed and cessblood everywhere I go. Love this mask, love the surgeon set, love arcane, love exultation, love Mohg <3 BLEED MORE

I really like the mask but that hood is too bland and has almost no good matchups aside from the original set because of that dirty white color (and even less if you want a high poise set that looks good). I wish you could clip out the hood and have a mask only, it would go so hard with some hairstyles. My suggestion is trying it with beast champion set, unaltered banished knight set or divine beast warrior set, these seem to be good matchups for it. Or throwing it out cuz bleed builds are already good enough, if the target can bleed most of the time that 10% bonus is an overkill and you can sacrifice it for better drip

I did not actually know the masks change shape to fit your face until me and my friend used it on our character with a ****ed up head. Highly recommend if you're doing an arc build and you character happens to look like clone wars count dooku

The only original fashion that I can like is an altered Perumer Robe, nox bracelets, and any boots for a cult leader or corrupt cleric look. Matches really well with Black Steel TwinbladeAlmost reminds me of the corrupted monk boss from sekiro. The thing that makes this look bad with almost all sets is that not only can the cloth part not contrast poorly with its weird shade of off-white, but the mask also can cause contrast with any hard armor parts.

Adding my fashion suggestions since this is a good item that is notoriously difficult to accessorize. The trick is to find mixes of armor with white accents and other fabric components that complement the White Mask. It also helps to find armor that doesn't clip the hood into an awkward tight cap. Here are some of my favorites:
- Lazuli Robe
- Scaled Armor
- Vagabond Knight Armor (altered)
- Confessor Armor (the white logo on the cape makes it)
- Banished Knight Armor (the rare unaltered version that you have to farm)
- Death Knight Armor (the full set is too dark, but try it with the High Priest Undergarments)

Story time: I still remember the cancer squad with this and RoB / Dual Naginata. I decided to have some fun and fish for point downs in arenas while rocking this old school trash build.

At this point I just use finger severer when the host summoning me uses this. Most of the time they don't even participate in the battle, just hovering around in the background until they got oneshot by some AoE. Can someone explain to me why the people who needs to get carried so hard insist on making fragile meta builds they don't even utilize? Dude just make a tanky faith build if you need others to kill the boss for you
