Tariq is a DPS class hero in Fellowship.
"Tariq is a melee damage dealer, who utilizes continual auto-attacks, timed between reactions and ability swings. Tariq utilizes a mechanic called 'Fury.' Fury is a resource by Tariq's empowered auto attacks which allows him to call upon heavy damage dealing abilities such as Chain Lightning and Thunder Call. Overall Tariq is a steady DPS whos timing based abilities allow him to burst damage periodically throughout the fight."
Biography
Tariq is a giant of a man, strong of hand and stronger of heart. He lived a simple life of calm and peace, but one fateful day, his partner and child were lost in the wars of the clans.
He took their bodies and climbed the sacred mountain to enact their burial rights. Over their pyres to the sky, Tariq's stoic demeanor crumbled and his temper let loose as he raged in fury. He beseeched the sky for the strength to give his fury meaning and protect those below.
When he descended form the mountain everyone in the Clan could tell he was a changed man. The atmosphere around him was electric, and there was lightning in his eyes. A new strength powered his swings and when he embraced the rising fury, many could see the physical manifestation of the tempest of his soul.

Tariq Weapon Options
Tariq Best Legendary Item

Tariq BiS Weapons
Tariq has a couple of good Weapon options at his disposal for boosting his damage output. The Fateful Basher is a great main option thanks to its ability to deal cleave damage, which comes with a relatively short cooldown of 60 seconds. Upon use, Fated Strike also buffs your Expertise by 20% and grants you significant Cooldown Recovery for 6 seconds, allowing you to use your core Skills more often. In addition, the Weapon Ability can also be used at range to charge at your primary target in order to engage enemies more easily.
The Wildstone Crusher is another solid pick as it provides you with both AoE damage and crowd control. The Weapon’s ability to stun enemies in a cone in front of you not once, but twice, can help relieve some pressure off your tank or buy some time for your healer in particularly clutch moments. Having a reliable source of ranged AoE damage can be quite useful on a melee-focused Hero like Tariq during situations where you need to keep your distance from enemies while still contributing to the fight.
We recommend going with the Fateful Basher if you’re looking for a straightforward main Weapon that offers multiple benefits. The Wildstone Crusher is also a very good choice, but it’s a bit more situational and its real value comes from the utility it brings to the table, more so than the damage itself.
Best Weapon Traits
The best Weapon Traits for Tariq will vary slightly depending on your specific playstyle. Having said that, some of the available Traits are so good that you'll often want to stick with them regardless of how you approach Combat. - Seized Opportunity – Landing many Critical Strikes ensures that your future ones will become progressively more devastating

Gem Priority
Gems in Fellowship offer various bonuses depending on their type. While it may be tempting to socket as many Gem types as possible into your Equipment in exchange for a wide variety of bonuses, it's generally a lot more efficient to specialize and focus on just a few types.
Tariq benefits the most from Gems that increase his Critical Strike (Amethyst) and Ultimate (Sapphire). Increasing your Main Stat (Ruby) and Expertise (Emerald) is highly beneficial as well. Generally speaking, Tariq’s Gem priority should be as follows:
Amethyst -> Sapphire -> Ruby -> Emerald -> Topaz -> Diamond
Builds
This build is primarily focused on enhancing Tariq's electric-based attacks and overall attack speed and Fury management.
This build boosts Tariq's physical damage and meele attacks, requiring careful fury management.
This build is centered around the Hammer Storm attack, and it aims to enhance it to a point where you can consistently spam it, dealing massive damage. Gear and progression dependent.

Tariq Stat Priority
Tariq's Stat priority is as follows:
- Strength
- Crit
- Haste/Expertise
- Spirit
Main stat is king in Fellowship, so you will want to focus on item level which in turn gives main stat on all pieces of gear minus neck and ring slots. Tariq has a few talents that synergise well with crit, for maximum damage output during endgame crit is your priority secondary stat. Expertise and Haste will increase your overall damage as well, expertise being a flat damage increase and haste allowing you to use your abilities more frequently. They are somewhat interchangable at the moment so play around and see each of these stats feel for you.
