Tim Connor shared thisAn excellent combination. Congrats Manish Sood and the entire Reltio team!Tim Connor shared thisExciting portfolio news: SAP has announced an agreement to acquire Reltio. As enterprises race to adopt AI, one constraint keeps surfacing: the data layer isn’t ready. More than a decade ago, Reltio founder Manish Sood saw this coming. After years working with complex enterprise systems, he recognized that traditional approaches to data management weren’t built for a world defined by constant change. Reltio was his answer. The company pioneered context intelligence: the ability to continuously harmonize, unify, and enrich data in real time, giving organizations the trusted data needed to power modern applications and agentic AI. Today, more than 2,000 organizations globally rely on Reltio across industries like healthcare, financial services, and life sciences. This outcome reflects years of disciplined execution. Proud to have partnered with Manish and the entire Reltio team on this journey. Congratulations to all!

Tim Connor shared thisExciting to see two portfolio companies join forces. Congrats Tim Doyle, Benny Kleist and Andrew Dudum and the entire Euc and H&H teams!Tim Connor shared thisEucalyptus has signed an agreement to be acquired by hims & hers. When the deal closes, we plan to build the best consumer health business in the world. I'll oversee the company’s international business. I think back to the launch of Hims & Hers as really the beginning of the patient-led transformation that healthcare has been undergoing for the last decade. Seeing a website that felt aspirational, low friction, clearly explained - with a payment model that was approachable - felt revolutionary at a time when the US healthcare system was everything but that. When we were launching Eucalyptus, we drew inspiration from Hims & Hers. So this feels full circle. As we look forward, this patients-first era of healthcare is only accelerating. It's become abundantly clear that in the future, patients will have a relationship with one or many digital clinics where they understand their own health data through regular tracking and diagnostics, use that information to interact with a variety of practitioners, and then take action across a wide range of their healthcare decisions. Hims & Hers is the best-positioned business in the world to be the home for consumer health. They've set the bar for what it means to be focused on the patient for the last decade — and as we accelerate toward the future, being part of what is fast becoming the leading global consumer health platform is extremely exciting. Of course, this is also a moment to look backward and say thank you - to our investors, staff, clinicians, partners and our patients. Eucalyptus started seven years ago as a bet that generalist talent from Australia could build a globally competitive consumer healthcare business. In many ways, this is the achievement of that aspiration. And as we look forward, our team now has the opportunity to be part of building one of the great healthcare businesses in the world — one that transforms hundreds of millions of lives.

Tim Connor shared thisWe've had a busy year at NewView!Tim Connor shared thisIn 2025, tender offers shifted from a niche financial tool to a core part of how private companies operate. At NewView, we led or participated in 7 tender offers this year. These transactions provided liquidity to more than 1,000 employees, minting 44 new millionaires in the process (pre-tax). The real impact goes beyond these numbers. Liquidity events can change lives and reshape company cultures. Employees can buy their first homes. Pay off student loans. Start saving for their child's education. We believe this is the emerging standard: tangible value, long before the IPO.

Tim Connor shared thisThis is a great tutorial from my colleague Jamie for venture investors considering if and how to use secondary strategies for active portfolio management.Tim Connor shared thisOver the past year I’ve spoken with hundreds of GPs about liquidity planning and portfolio management. The firms are different but the same core challenges come up again and again. • How do we deliver DPI without compromising long term value? • How do we choose between structures that each carry real tradeoffs? • How do we work through company and co-investor rights? • And how do we keep alignment with founders and LPs while doing it? Across these conversations it became clear that GPs aren’t short on options. What’s missing is a simple, first principles approach that starts with what you’re solving for and then helps determine the structure that best fits. The market is active but complex. Most secondary strategies are bespoke, pricing is often opaque and processes often vary by counterparty. That’s why NewView Capital developed The GP’s Guide to Venture Secondaries. It focuses on clarity, judgment and offers a practical way for fellow GPs to match the solution to the objective. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eMxCtTBn

Tim Connor liked thisTim Connor liked thisStrictly a personal statement As an American who believes in the founding principles of this nation — diplomacy, rule of law, and the dignity of human life — I am appalled by the statement attributed to President Trump on April 1st threatening to bomb Iran "back to the Stone Ages." This is not strength. This is not leadership. And it is emphatically not American. America was built on the idea that might does not make right. We crafted international institutions, signed the UN Charter, and championed diplomacy precisely because we understood that threatening to annihilate nations is the language of tyranny, not democracy. The Strait of Hormuz is a matter of international law and multilateral negotiation — not a pretext for promising mass destruction to a country of 90 million people. Words like these don't make America safer. They inflame tensions, isolate us from allies, and hand adversaries a propaganda gift. More than that, they are a moral disgrace — uttered in our name, on our behalf, by someone who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution, not to issue genocidal ultimatums. I refuse to accept that this represents who we are. And I expect every elected official, regardless of party, to say the same.

Tim Connor liked thisTim Connor liked thisDid you hear it? Breaking: SAP plans to acquire Reltio and honestly, this one feels inevitable. Just four weeks ago, I was at Reltio’s Data-Driven conference, and something stood out immediately. The conversations were not about dashboards or pipelines. They were about fixing the real problem behind AI, which is fragmented and unreliable data!!!! I also spent time with Manish Sood, Founder and CEO, Reltio there, and what impressed me most was the clarity of vision. Reltio was never trying to be just another MDM company. They built a system that connects data across the enterprise in real time, adds context to it, and makes it usable for applications and AI. That is a very different approach from how most of the market still thinks. And that is exactly why this move by SAP makes so much sense. SAP has always been the backbone for enterprise systems of record. But the shift we are seeing now is bigger. Enterprises do not just need systems that store data. They need systems that make data usable across environments, across clouds, and now across AI-driven workflows. Reltio fills that gap. It brings a layer of trusted, connected data that sits across both SAP and non-SAP systems. That is what enables real decisioning, real-time insights, and more importantly, AI that actually works in production. From my experience, this is what makes Reltio stand out. They are not just solving data quality. They are solving data usability at scale. This is not just an acquisition. It is SAP making a very clear statement about where it is heading as a company. And personally, I am happy to see this happen. When you meet the team and understand what they have been building, you want them to win. I am happy to be part of this journey in some way!!!! #data #ai #reltio #sap #theravitshow

I’m lucky to work alongside colleagues like Richard Fruehauf, who constantly push my thinking. His latest piece unpacks why U.S. robotics and drone manufacturing faces uphill economics, and how public policy can help turn the tide. One key takeaway: 232 tariffs on robotics imports could help reset the economics that are holding back U.S. investment and production. It’s a sharp perspective on how policy can shape the future of advanced tech here at home. Well worth a read: https://lnkd.in/edMPTQPQ Richard Fruehauf, Robert J. 🚨NEW EPISODE: Recorded live at FUTURE TITANS 2026 - Jeff Perry of Carta sat down with the iconic Seth Levine, co-founder of Foundry. Seth has been in venture for 25 years, built Foundry from scratch as an emerging manager himself, and has backed about 50 emerging manager funds through his fund of funds. He has genuinely seen every side of this table. They went deep on building Foundry, why VCs are in the influence business, not the decision business, and why the concentration problem in venture is not only bad for LPs, but also for the innovation ecosystem overall. And why Seth's new book, Capital Evolution, is so important for the future of America. 🎧 Links to listen... Apple: https://lnkd.in/ehQUQ2EM Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eU4FExpg

Plaid's CEO just said the next five years will look completely different than the last five, but somehow that's not even this week's biggest plot twist. This week, we're breaking down the moves that matter: 💡 Plaid CEO Zach Perret tells Karen Webster the company is evolving from data connectivity to becoming "the analytics platform for financial services" while betting big on agentic AI. https://hubs.ly/Q03v4JdD0 📉 Main Street businesses are struggling hard, growing at just two-thirds the rate of larger companies as restaurants and retail get hammered by cautious consumer spending. https://hubs.ly/Q03v4H_C0 🛡️ Block's Brian Boates reveals how Cash App prevented $2 billion in P2P fraud since 2020 using machine learning models that warn users about only 1.5% of payments. https://hubs.ly/Q03v4GPm0 ⚖️ A federal judge rules Anthropic can train AI with books without permission under fair use, dealing a major blow to authors seeking copyright protections. https://hubs.ly/Q03v4G-d0 🏦 Mastercard opens its account-to-account instant payments sandbox to UK banks, letting them test new services without breaking critical infrastructure. https://hubs.ly/Q03v4H1Q0 💰 Fiserv launches its own stablecoin FIUSD on Solana, joining the rush of traditional finance companies entering the digital asset space. https://hubs.ly/Q03v4G-f0 Big question of the week: If AI companies can legally train on copyrighted content, what does that mean for every creative industry's future? Reshoring manufacturing to the U.S. hinges entirely on advances in automation and robotics—and those advances, in turn, rely on next-generation tools like integrated development environments, foundation models, smart robotics skills, and flexible automation platforms. This isn’t merely an incremental shift; it’s the next industrial revolution. I estimate it will unlock up to $30 trillion in GDP over the next decade, as countries compete fiercely for leadership. We are excited to announce our investment in Axion's $37M Series B round! With rising product complexity and global supply chain pressures, traditional, reactive quality control in manufacturing is no longer sustainable. Axion's AI observability platform directly addresses this by connecting fragmented enterprise data across engineering, service, and supply chain teams to detect quality issues and root causes earlier. Furthermore, Schneider Electric is already deploying Axion's solution in several business units, demonstrating clear ROI by using its AI application to predict problems and streamline remediation. Investing in Axion aligns perfectly with SE Ventures' mission to accelerate digital transformation, driving efficiency, safety, and sustainability at scale for the industrial world. Congrats to Daniel First and the entire Axion team. The fun is just getting started! Seth Levine nailed it! The concentration problem isn't just a GP pain point... it's choking innovation. When capital pools around the same 20 funds, emerging managers and founders get shut out. Love that he's using his platform to call this out. Foundry has backed 50+ emerging managers. That's the diversification the ecosystem needs. This is exactly why Carta exists — making capital allocation visible and accessible. Capital Evolution hits at exactly the right moment. Thanks for having us Daniel Dart. The next era of clean energy isn’t just about generating power—it’s about making distributed systems reliable, investable, and built to scale. That’s why we led Omnidian's $87M funding round. Omnidian provides performance assurance for residential and commercial solar and storage systems, using predictive analytics and expert service to maximize uptime, system life, and returns. As distributed energy becomes a core part of the global grid, long-term performance and trust will define the winners. Omnidian is building the infrastructure to make that possible. Congratulations to Mark Liffmann and the entire team—this is just the beginning.

Voice is a super interesting modality right now - maybe the first modality we're seeing move to open source models across a number of scale ups / enterprises. Reliability concerns, high costs, and open source model performance are pushing engineers to do their own fine tuning vs. relying on third-party vendors of proprietary models. Many of these orgs have already been collecting their own first-party data and now with third-party vendors like Extrian, David AI, etc they can train really high quality models. RL has been insanely hyped, but it's been unclear how long it will take scale ups and enterprises to actually lean in. Voice AI might be hitting that inflection point faster than expected.

There’s a massive opportunity in automating industrial manufacturing processes. That’s why we’re backing RobCo in their series C as they scale their physical AI driven robotics platform and expand their U.S. presence. As global labor supply continues to tighten, automation in manufacturing is shifting from “nice to have” to essential. Big milestone for Firmable. We’ve raised $14m Series A led by Airtree. Sales has moved through a few big waves: intuition-led, CRM-led, data-led. We’re now entering the next one – intelligence-led sales. The opportunity isn’t just better data. It’s turning that data into clear direction and action, without adding more work for sales teams. That’s what we’re building at Firmable: a foundation of trusted external data, layered with intelligence that helps sellers know who to focus on and when. Led by Airtree, this round supports our expansion across Asia and into the US – and accelerates the build-out of AI agents that take the admin work off sales teams so they can focus on what they do best. The old SaaS pricing playbook doesn’t work for AI. Madhavan Ramanujam and I partnered with Emergence Capital and Jake Saper to write a new one—built for where AI is going, not just where it is today. We lay out what state-of-the-art AI pricing looks like now—and what it will look like: ✅ Hybrid pricing (seats + usage) is the current best practice 🎯 Outcome-based models are the future—pricing tied directly to impact 💰 The best AI companies already capture 25–50% of the value they create As autonomy and attribution improve, outcome pricing will go from rare to expected. Founders who move early will win. Full read here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gwp6tDtp
