Frederic Laluyaux shared thisThank you, Florian Selch , for your invitation to discuss the impact of #decisionintelligence in #SupplyChain in The Masters of Supply Chain podcast! Big fan of what you do with your community of Supply Chain thought leaders and practitioners!Frederic Laluyaux shared thisWhat does it take to prove a new category of enterprise technology at scale? In his appearance on The Masters of Supply Chain podcast, Aera Technology CEO Frederic Laluyaux shared with host Florian Selch how the company approached the challenge of building a decision intelligence platform for the real world. Instead of starting small, we deliberately chose to work with the largest global organizations first, proving that decision intelligence could deliver value at the highest levels of scale, complexity, and operational intensity. As Fred explains: “We said, ‘Let's go after the most complex and the largest companies in the world first... to demonstrate that the companies you look up to can actually get value from that technology. So, we went and worked with some of the most advanced companies, and partnered with them to build the technology to where it is today.” By partnering with global leaders across industries, we developed Aera around real operational challenges, enabling organizations to orchestrate complex supply chains while automating decisions at scale. Hear Fred’s full perspective on building decision intelligence for the world’s most complex enterprises. https://lnkd.in/gyM6VJZb #DecisionIntelligence #SupplyChainInnovation #AgenticAI

Frederic Laluyaux reacted on thisFrederic Laluyaux reacted on this💡 The Future of Supply Chain is … Intelligent ✨ Pretty obvious statement, I know. But how many of us are: 1. Factually documenting the way how decisions are made, beyond only formalizing transactions processes? Not many… 2. Over-relying on static planning practices? We humans are really good at predictions, right? And expect a plan will be put perfectly in execution? Is this really the case? 3. Doing dozens of AI pilots because we absolutely need to do something with AI, right? Guess what, ROI is challenging in such case… Together with Aera Technology we partner to drive Decision Intelligence transformations , and we have been doing so for the past 8 years. What we learnt is: 1- Scale is the name of the game. Pilots prove something, scale drives ROI. Logical, but not always kept in mind 2- As volatility increases, the need for decisions in shorter horizons (read: execution) increases as well. The biggest value sits in the decisions we don’t make today… 3- And most importantly: the technology you deploy is an important enabler, but what is truly game-changing is the operating model transformation that comes with a DI journey: decisions at the point of most intelligence but synced across the enterprise, an evolution to a value-led operating model and a shift in mindset, culture and skills for your talent Thanks Matt York Jerome Froment-Curtil Hein Regeer and Michael Späth for your presence and Aera for being one of the Premier Sponsors of our Deloitte Future of Supply Chain event today. Next year, I am sure Frederic Laluyaux would not want to miss it… 😉

Frederic Laluyaux liked thisFrederic Laluyaux liked thisIn dairy supply chains, execution speed is becoming the competitive edge. But what enables organizations to move faster without sacrificing coordination or control? As portfolios expand and supply and demand signals shift throughout the day, the challenge is no longer visibility. It is the ability to turn data into timely, coordinated decisions across procurement, production, and distribution. In our latest blog, we explore how leading dairy organizations are moving beyond periodic planning and adopting a continuous, decision-driven operating model powered by decision intelligence. The post explores: • Why execution speed is emerging as a defining capability in dairy operations • How interconnected decisions across supply, production, and inventory can be orchestrated in real time • The role of AI in enabling continuous, coordinated decision-making • Real-world outcomes from reducing waste to improving service and efficiency https://lnkd.in/gpQ2X-kr #DecisionIntelligence #SupplyChainInnovation #AgenticAI

What stood out wasn’t just the progress in agentic decision intelligence, but how much value comes from learning together. Different industries, different challenges — yet many of the same questions: - When to trust automation vs. human judgment - How to govern decisions at scale - Where to start and how to expand The real advantage is in the community, sharing what’s working, what’s not, and moving forward together. Appreciate everyone who contributed to such an open and thoughtful discussion.

Frederic Laluyaux reacted on thisTwo Awards, One Focus: Top Talent Congratulations to the Unilever Global Business Services team on being recognised at Everest Group Engage – London 2026 as Top GBS Employer 2026 – India and Top Employer for Tech Talent 2026 – India. Awards are always gratifying, but what matters most is what they represent. As we move deeper into the age of AI, the real differentiator is going to be the people sitting behind the systems. A few reflections: • The #AgeofAI demands that we have teams who can design intelligent business processes, orchestrate AI systems, exercise their keen judgement, and unlock new sources of value for the business. It is an AI-native talent pool, that sees the world in a new, intelligent and connected way. Building this kind of talent pipeline and developing it to be the leaders of the future, is a strategic choice for us in #IntelligentGBS. • #India remains one of the world’s most powerful talent ecosystems. Every visit reminds me of the ambition, capability, and energy that make our teams there a strong driving force behind our Intelligent GBS journey. And we are truly humbled to get the opportunity to attract the best and strongest talent in India. We’re proud and inspired by our teams in the country and of course other global markets also. • As #GlobalBusinessServices today are helping centralise, standardise and digitise our business to unlock exponential growth. At the centre of what we do is reimagine the user experience – to be more intuitive, joyful and powerful. This is going to be possible only when we come together and use technology, creativity and customer-centricity to drive us forward. I am confident that our teams have all three. Upwards and onwards team. Special thank you to Tammy Hourigan and Jo Bartnicke for collecting this. Makes us very proud.

Frederic Laluyaux liked thisFrederic Laluyaux liked thisWe need to stop pretending visibility is the goal. For years, we have invested in dashboards, control towers, and end to end views of the business, but visibility on its own does not create value, decisions do. At this point, the only defensible reason to continue pursuing visibility is that it serves as a forcing function. It exposes how immature most data environments actually are, from fragmented data and inconsistent definitions to a lack of ownership and very few true data products. In that sense, visibility efforts are still useful because they reveal the gaps. But it cannot stop there. Seeing the problem is not the same as solving it, and data on a screen does not move the business forward. The organizations that have and will continue to outperform have shifted from visibility to decision intelligence. They are clear on who owns decisions, how trade offs are made, how intelligence is embedded into workflows, and how outcomes are measured and improved over time. They are also the same organizations who understand and continue to invest in data products knowing it is not a project to be finished but an ongoing investment that will lead to continued value generation. What we are seeing play out in global markets right now, with disruptions like the shutdown in the Strait, is a real time proof point. Many organizations have visibility into where shipments are delayed, where inventory is at risk, and where constraints are forming. Far fewer are equipped to make fast, aligned decisions about how to respond. Visibility will tell you what is happening. Decision intelligence determines what you do next. Andn in moments like this, that difference shows up quickly in performance. #DecisionIntelligence #SupplyChainTransformation #DataProducts #AIinSupplyChain #Resilience #DecisionMaking #DigitalSupplyChain #Leadership

Frederic Laluyaux reacted on thisFrederic Laluyaux reacted on thisPlease to share some thoughts in Harvard Business Review on how to ease the adoption of AI in companies. First, they should stop treating the implementation of AI as a question of technological deployment. It's really about managing work. And, as consequence, companies should rely on tried and true processes in launching AI agents. Here are a few practical tips for doing so: 1. Develop a job description for every AI. Spell out its responsibilities, decision rights and its role in processes. 2. Devise every agent to address some part of work that its human teammates dislike, the "dull, dispiriting and deterministic" parts of their jobs. Humans will be a lot more receptive to and appreciative of agentic teammates that relieve them of thankless burdens. 3. Evaluate the agent's performance against explicit, specific metrics. Human teammates get evaluated. So should agents. Measuring an AI's performance will provide a further mechanism for building enthusiasm for it. It will also point to areas that need improvement and inform new training regimes. 4. Every agent needs a supervisor and every supervisor should be a human. Someone has to be accountable for every AI's performance, for identifying errors it generates and for planning 'professional development' (e.g., improvements, new training regimes, etc.) for the technology. 5. Treat it like an intern, make it earn 'full-time' status. AI is like an intern-- it has an appetite for work, but doesn't yet "know things are done" in your organization. Put it on probation. No AI should be deployed widely until it has regularly demonstrated its capacity to fulfill its job description and meet its metrics. 6. Give every agent a name. That will allow you to avoid using generalities. "AI" doesn't do things; specific agents do. A number of companies I'm working with have adopted these tools and are finding it eases implementation and makes human teammates happier in their use of the technology. #ai #aiagents https://lnkd.in/gqszeGDK
