Delighted to finally share the news of Arbio's $36M Series A round! One I helped drive earlier this year, as one of the marquee investments of OpenOcean's AI-enabled services and AI-powered roll-ups strategy initiated over a year ago. Arbio is redefining short-term rental property management with AI-native operations, bringing intelligence and automation to one of the most operationally complex service sectors. Its platform centralizes operations and orchestrates complex service operations for streamlined guest communications, property pricing, accounting, channel management and more. The result? Optimized pricing, improved occupancy, smoother guest experience and an overall much more efficient business. This is a strong example of what AI-enabled services embody: massive markets where AI-native new entrants have a clear right to win against unloved, undifferentiated incumbents with structural barriers to true modernization. Constantin and Paul are absolute superstars. From the moment we first met, I knew they had what it takes to build a category-defining AI-enabled property management services business. In under 2 years, the team has completed over 30 acquisitions, grew revenue 10x and now manages over 1,000 properties, with meaningful organic growth. With a world-class set of experts supporting the business, including Din Bisevac from Buena, Justin Reizes and Philipp Freise from KKR, Johannes Reck and Tao Tao from GetYourGuide and many others, the future looks brighter than ever for Arbio. Property owners and guests have a lot to look forward to. Massive congratulations to all! Proud to have collaborated on this with the incredible team at OpenOcean (Sam & Patrik), Eurazeo (Elise & Moritz), and Atlantic Labs (Marc-Olivier & Anne-Sophie). Link to press release below. #AIRollUps #AIEnabledServices

📈 Driving tech innovation in the South West At today’s Tech South West Investment Summit, founders, innovators, and investors gathered to explore the region’s thriving tech ecosystem. A key highlight of the day was the Investor panel session, joined by BVCA members Susannah McClintock (Clean Growth Fund), Melanie Hayes (Bethnal Green Ventures), and Pippa Gawley (Zero Carbon Capital), and moderated by Edward Tellwright (British Business Bank). BVCA data makes clear the South West is an exciting destination for private capital, whose investment supports 641 businesses which call the region home. In 2024 alone, private capital invested £2.2bn into the South West. This investment reflects the strength of the Southwest’s mature innovation ecosystems - a theme reinforced at today’s event in Bristol.

Great to see momentum in fossil-free steel. Now it’s time to quantify how powertrain integrators can bring these materials into real system designs. …if only there were a toolset to demonstrate materials across a large library of real vehicles.😃
