Gamescom 2025 Niles Companion Trailer Reveal Details
Niles is an agent of the Earth Directorate, which is torn between choosing loyalty over reform. In The Outer Worlds 2, Niles is going to represent the Directorate Faction, and you will have the option and choices to push him to become a loyal companion or someone who is in favor of reform.
The Companions in The Outer Worlds 2 will have their own motivations, abilities, equipment, background, and their own faction. You, being the protagonist in the game, can bring companions in order for them to assist you during battle, conversations, and even influence, so you can unfold their stories and where they are coming from. But you also have to keep in mind that your companions might leave your party at some critical points, depending on your actions and choices, so you have to understand what motivates them and what type of equipment to use for them, so you can come up with a powerful build.
And when it comes to Nile's role and abilities, his combat type would be more of a tactical support as well as a dialogue-driven influencer. And also, when it comes to your choices, you can alter Nile's alignment to match your goals and quest outcomes.
Based on the Trailer that was released during the Gamescom 2025, it is confirmed that Nile will be a member of the Earth Directorate Faction, and will have his own Pros and Cons. Niles will be having Pros: Can fix your s**t and Cons: Can't Commit to a Hobby. And also, it shows in the trailer that Niles will be more of a ranged type of companion when it comes to his fight style during combat, which allows Niles to attack and hit enemies from a certain range.
