Corpse Eater is a Talent in Divinity Original Sin 2 (DOS 2). Corpse Eater is an Elf racial talent, that unlocks memories of the dead as you devour body parts. Talents in Divinity: Original Sin 2 are special abilities that provide unique bonuses and enhancements, allowing players to customize their characters' strengths and playstyles.
How to Get Corpse Eater in Divinity: Original Sin 2
- This is a racial talent for Elves and Undead Elves.
- It can also be temporarily obtained through use of the Mask of the Shapeshifter.
Divinity Original Sin 2 Corpse Eater Guides
- Eating body parts as undead will still heal you.
- As listed below, eating specific body parts will grant the character skills. Although you don't need the corresponding ability points to learn skills that way, you will still need them to be able to use said skills. For instance, your character must have points in Scoundrel to use the Adrenaline skill granted by Finn's body part.
DOS 2 Corpse Eater Attainable Skills
- Act 1, Fort Joy (Region):
- Eating Finn's body part in the first ship area, The Hold, will grant you the Adrenaline Skill.
- After completing a task for Elodi, she offers the player a severed head. Eating it will give the player access to First Aid.
- If you happen to kill Saheila and eat her arm, you learn Armour of Frost.
- A dead magister to the east of Fort Joy previously granted Levitate. However, this skill is currently unobtainable in the current version of the game. In Definitive Edition this body provides Wings.
- Inside a chest surrounded near booby traps in The Hollow Marshes you will find Foreman's Head that grants Peace of Mind.
- ...
- Act 2, Reaper's Coast:
- In Reaper's Coast is a magister caravan splayed with body parts; eating the Severed Head in the back will grant Backlash.
- Eating the Severed Hand right outside the Wrecker's Cave in Reaper's Coast grants Contamination.

- Complete A Trial for All Seasons to get Phoenix Heart that grants Flaming Tongues.
- ...
- Act 3, Nameless Isle (Region) :
- The heart of the Shadow Prince grants Daggers Drawn.
- The Sallow Man's Hand grants Infect.
- Paladin Searle's Arm, which can be found near the Altar of Rhalic, grants Corrosive Touch.
- ...
- Act 4, Arx:
- Unarmed Elf sells 3 body parts, each granting a source skill when eaten (Pyroclastic Eruption, Apotheosis, Meteor Shower).
- ...
DOS 2 Corpse Eater Notes & Tips
- Eating quest-related body parts might prevent you from completing some quests. See, for instance:
- Stranger in a Strange Land (Disembodied Lizard Leg)
- Finder's Fee (Mummie Dearest's head)
- The Mother Tree (Shadow Prince's heart)
- The Sallow Man (Alexandar's head)
- Killing Garvan in the Black Bull Inn and eating his head unlocks the Trader's Secrets talent (+1 Bartering). See the Aggressive Takeover quest (Act 2).
- It seems that if the body part gives a skill that the character already has, the games script roles a 20% chance to give a random other skill which is level 2, or lower.

AnonymousThis racial skill kinda sucks I've been eating the whole world and every piece of corpse hand feet head I literally am a cannibal and a flesh eating monster at this point and 99% of the times it gives nothing.
The few times I got something it was a random skills which I don't meet the requirements to use it...
Only good thing was Wings for my poly elf rogue.
AnonymousBesides those that contain fixed skills, mentioned by the wiki, there are some other body parts that give you a random skill. But something I've noticed while playing Definitive Edition is that when you try to pick a different random skill via multiple loading, at some point, this body part you're trying to eat might lose the property of giving you a skill. Although it looks like an anti-cheat mechanism, I can't say it's definitely a rule because I didn't tried it too many times. But anyways, since I found no other report of this specific effect, I decided to share.

AnonymousI have got Blinding Briliance when eat a severed Head in the Wrecker Cave. Don't know which, just order by "Last Picked Up" and ate the first one..

AnonymousI wondered which body parts were quest related. ...like Atusa's leg for Neils. I know! I'll check the wiki!
wiki - DO NOT eat quest-related body parts
RU fuking kidding me?
AnonymousThe hand outside of Wrecker gave me Ballistic instead. Might have been a change with the latest update

AnonymousThere's an unarmed elf vendor at the academy that sells three body parts that teach you Apotheosis, Meteor Strike, and Pyroclastic Eruption

AnonymousThere's a lizard in Reaper's cost graveyard (near Rhyker's mansion,X: 615, Y: 173) that permanently curses you (removable by bless) if you dig up his grave , then eat his leg. XD The dialog is pretty funny as he's baffled by your actions.

AnonymousAnyone else not getting skills for racing flesh in definitive edition?

Anonymouscool tip, if you are playing as fane you start with the item that lets you change your race, you can change your race to elf and eat Finn's body part at the begging of the game.

AnonymousI haven't seen anyone post this find before. I'll post it here, just found it now. Poison Wave can be found at X: 622. Y: 175. It's from a hidden diggable grave. Probably requires X lvl's of wits to spot. There's a Lizard corpse buried in the human section of the graveyard, atleast that¨s what The Red prince says when you find it. This is all on Act 2 by the way. - Cryptical Void

AnonymousSo what I have noticed is yes, there are some parts that give pre-determined skills. As for the rest, it seems they have a *chance* to give a whole host of skills. I realized this when I did the following:
1. Save
2. Eat 5 body parts - acquire a huntsman ability
3. Load
4. Eat the 5 body parts again - acquire no abilities
5. Load
6. Eat the 5 body parts again - acquire warfare ability
AnonymousBacklash: Reaper's Coast (441, 24) is a severed head, eating it gives the skill.

AnonymousIn Ryker's dungeon, Fire Whip from a disembodied leg under a table on the north side of the room among lots of rotten parts.

AnonymousI got Corrosive Touch from eating a body part from somewhere, I think it was from a pile of them in the cave of the Sallow Man. By that point I just stockpiled them and ate them in batches. To my knowledge the Corrosive Touch skill isn't obtainable normally as the skill crafting for it is broken.

AnonymousPurity of Mind: Southeast of the Hollow Marshes - Bridge waypoint is a chest surrounded by noxious bulbs and two talking, impaled heads. In the chest is a severed head, and eating it will give you the skill.

AnonymousAllows apparently to get the use of one skill coming from the people you eat flesh
