Sebille is a Companion in Divinity: Original Sin 2. Sebille is a beautiful elf, and a former slave of lizard. Companions are key party members who can join you throughout your journey. Each companion has unique conversation tags, a predefined class, and their own set of equipment, adding depth to their role in your adventure.

I used to be a slave, kept under the thumb of the Master: the bastard that made me hunt down my own kin. How did he do that, you ask? With the living scar you see on my cheek, this horror that takes no more than a song sung by Master dearest to control my very thoughts. But now the tables have turned. I broke my shackles. And when I finally find him, I will make the Master sing a very different kind of song...

Divinity Original Sin 2 Sebille Location

  • If not chosen as your Origin, Sebille can be found outside Fort Joy, near south gate. She can be asked to join your team. However, due to been enslaved by lizards before, if your character is a Lizard, or you are travelling with The Red Prince, you need to persuade her first.
  • After progressing far enough in the story she may also be located in the Sanctuary of Amadia, even before you actually discover that location.
  • Another chance of find her is in the southwest of Fort Joy, close to Buddy (the dog).
  • Can also be recruited on the Lady Vengeance, after fighting Alexandar. Sebille is in the lowest zone of the ship, sitting by some cages on the upper walkway.
  • If Sebille is not in your party before fighting Dallis on Lady Vengeance, she will die and can no longer be recruited.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Sebille Companion Quest

The Sebille companion quest begins by speaking with the Dreamer, Stingtail, located on the beach south of Fort Joy. He will only appear after you have started the quest An Imprisoned Elf and have spoken with Griff at Fort Joy. At this point, Sebille will ask to speak with him, and if you agree, she will kill Stingtail. It's important to note that Stingtail is a Pyrokinetic Skills Book vendor, so make sure to purchase any skill books you might need before Sebille kills him. If Sebille doesn't kill him, you will be unable to progress her quest. Additionally, if you inform Griff during the An Imprisoned Elf quest that Stingtail was the thief, you will also prevent the progression of Sebille's quest. Therefore, either let Sebille kill him or avoid revealing the thief's identity to Griff. If you choose to tell Griff, he will send an assassin to eliminate Stingtail. If you split your party, you can intercept the assassin (by forcing an attack) before Stingtail is killed, allowing you to continue all related quests.

Next, have Sebille speak with Griff at Fort Joy. She will learn that she must speak with Zaleskar in the Hollow Marshes, meaning you will need to escape Fort Joy to continue her quest. After leaving Fort Joy, head to Driftwood Tavern, where a man named Baran will inform you that Roost is hiding in a nearby sawmill. To gain access to the sawmill, you'll need to fight your way through a group of Lone Wolves. If you have Ifan Ben-Mezd in your party, you can let him do the talking and avoid further conflict. Once you find Roost, you'll learn the location of Sebille's former master. However, you'll need to confront and defeat Roost in a battle. If you managed to save Saheila during The Elven Seer quest, she will reveal Sebille's true identity and offer her the choice to become the heart of the Scions.

Sebille's master is located on the Nameless Isle. Upon arriving there, Sebille will teach you a song that breaks her master's control over her. Travel to the Temple of Zorl-Stissa and seek out the Shadow Prince in the Lava Field. When you encounter the Shadow Prince, you will have the option to sing the song she taught you, preventing him from asserting control over Sebille. As a result, the Shadow Prince will become hostile, and a group of shadow assassins will also attack. Defeat them to set Sebille free. Once the Shadow Prince is slain, the Mother Tree will request to speak with Sebille. To meet her, use the flower to teleport to the heart of the Mother Tree. The Mother Tree will offer Sebille the chance to grow into the next Mother Tree herself. If you refuse, the elves will turn hostile and attack, but Sebille will remain alive. If you accept, you will unlock the Rooted talent.

Upon leaving the heart of the Mother Tree, Saheila (if she's still alive) will approach Sebille and ask her to kill the Mother Tree so that the elves may live freely. If you decide to follow Saheila's request, return to the heart of the Mother Tree and destroy it. This will complete the quest, but the remaining elves at the temple will become hostile toward you.

Finally, upon reaching the Academy, you must convince Sebille that you are the right choice to become the Divine. If you have already completed her personal quest, no persuasion will be necessary.

Divinity Original Sin 2 Sebille Notes, Tips & Trivia

  • Despite reducing your Constitution, if managed proper, Sebille as your starting out character can do perfectly well as Knight or Fighter. Especially the former, given its easy access to Enrage, which combined with Flesh Sacrifice and the Warlord talent can easily one to two-shot any enemy you come across in the early game with a two hander or dual wield, and let you score additional blows to perhaps further the streak. Do not underestimate the 25% bonus damage on a two handed axe.
  • Eating a Chunk of Flesh will grant her the Adrenaline Skill.
  • Eating the Severed Head will grant her the First Aid Skill.
  • Eating Atusa's Leg will grant the quest Blood Memories.
  • If you miss Sebille's quest in Fort Joy, you can still continue it once you reach Driftwood.

most people wouldn't know that she's probably the best romance in the game. Still getting the tingles thinking about it.

Seriously, do you people only need goody two shoes as companions? Like I don't want to judge but that's just ****ing boring lmo

        • Anonymous

So many simping bdsm perverts want to be tormented by mad beach dog... Thanks though now i 100% sure to turn it into the fracking tree.

Lol she became master's slave again. Not like really care but wonder what supposed to do ahah

Not reacting as you feel and trying to keep everyone alive just to see all the story pieces is so lame. Take a goddamn chance, will ya.

            • Anonymous

feeling the compulsion to kill her and rob yourself of story content just cause she held a knife to your throat once is weird af. Like you guys have never seen these kinds of tropes before.

I also found out that despite doing the trick Red Prince still acts like he did not talk to him, after you killed him. Heck he even asks about Sadha although we already checked the Mirror

I am playing Sebille as a Lone Wolf (alone, not duo), and came across an interesting situation after rescuing Saheila during The Elven Seer quest. After Saheila returns to the elven encampment, thereby closing The Elven Seer quest, she will automatically talk to me (Sebille) if I enter the camp again and offer me the choice to be the heart of the scions (as described on this wiki page). I accepted in order to progress with Sebille's quest line. But then I reloaded to see what would happen if I refused, and that choice makes Saheila and the entire camp turn hostile. Since that made me angry, I defeated them all (also killing Saheila) and will continue on the quest line as such. In the Journal, under "My Story So Far...", there is now an entry called "Strike at the Heart - Sebille", which reads: "I shall not be the Mother Tree's thrall. The elven tyrant on the Nameless Isle must die". I find this result much more in line with Sebille's personality than accepting the choice to be the heart of the scions (an anti-slavery/tyrant stance). I was just surprised that Saheila then stated that she will then become Prime Scion and then decides to kill me for refusing. Pissed me off and made killing her very satisfying. Even more satisfying was that I used her corpse to summon a bloated corpse, and then used a supercharged Vile Burst explosion to take out Tovah, her mother. Still wearing the smile from that fight.

Had no idea of the song she teaches prior the meeting of the master and was already on the nameless island and in contact with the shadow prince (without her nearby). Fortunately for me after talking with the shadow prince I went and kicked her out of my party and reaquired her on Lady Vengence. Then I could talk to her on deck and trigger the dialog to teach me the song. Now I guess I won't have to do the beginning of act 3 all over again because of a simple oversight (there was no exclamation mark symbol above her head on deck). Hope that helps others as well.

Didn't know she threatens you no matter what. I thought she did that becuase I startled and tried to flirt with her, and to make things worse I'm a lizard lol

Just got the game and when I talk to Sebille at Fort Joy I don't have the dialect to chance her class when she joins my party, any idea why?

A solution. Before I went to Nameless Island, Sebille had an attitude of 45. I installed the Dahlia Uniques mod. I bought the fisherman charm ring (+1 persuasion). With Captain Charimatic Coat from Act 1 (+1 persuasion) I managed to increase her confidence. I talked to her before I left and as soon as I arrived on Nameless Island

Flesh Sacrifice + Elemental Arrows is also a decent starting combo if you decide to try a Ranger build on her.

5 tries on The Elven Seer trying to go right through the front door sixth try i realize i could just slip past the horrid mommy dearest and take a small side walk past the poison exploding traps

I find that she threatens with a needle kinda funny. I know it's lore reasons and all but just reminds me of Austin Powers. "Who throws a shoe!?! Honestly"

So many people saying they killed her cos she threatens you when you first meet. What, you guys never made friends with a psycho before?

A little guide on how not to break Sebille's quest, because it's really f***** easy to ruin it on Act 3. In order to learn the freaking song that sets her free, you have to talk to her as soon as you arrive at the Nameless Isle on Lady Vengeance when the excalamation mark appears on top of your companions. TALK TO HER FIRST. Otherwise the exclamation point on top of her head will disappear and you will never be able to learn the song after that, no matter how high her attitude towards you. In order for this exclamation mark to trigger you also need to have at least attitude 50 with her. If you are past this point already, you can keep her parked outside the fight with the Shadow Prince and bring her in once he is dead. You will be able to close the quest and get the achievement by doing this, but will miss on the cool dialogue with the Shadow Prince and the warm moment between your main char and Sebille when she teaches the song. If you are trying to romance her, this means you will have lost a chunck of romance with her during Act 3 as well. Hope this helps.

I kiled this b**ch after keeping her knife on my throat despite me playing all nice and polite...but everything has a limit and this one crossed it. Didn't care much the thing that she could be a potential companion, she got too much cocky and got what she asked :P

Anyone else having the gamebreaking bug with Sebille where she's invincible? She's getting hammered while at 0 hp with no living on the edge buff at all and just taking it.

My first play through I had no idea who she was, and just assumed it was yet another fight. Never occurred to me that she's only putting the dagger to my throat since the Red Prince is standing right there.

" If she doesn't kill him you cannot advance her quest line. "

Wrong, you can let the skillbook vendor live...

Sebille (and any other elf) greatly benefits off being an archer, as blood arrows via the Elemental Arrows ability can be used immediately upon using flesh sacrifice, granting a bonus to physical damage. As such is with archers, physical damage is their main suit, making the combination of a free action point with it all the more beneficial. I was capable of dealing between 60 to 100% of an enemy's health from high ground advantages with the setup using her, alongside having executioner, allowed me to clean house.
So if you ever take an elf, it is highly recommended to make them a ranger along with not taking leech, as it will remove the blood pool you are on. Instead, just get four Phoenix idols from the undertavern quest.

I found out that if you Pickpocket the guy and have sibile stand outside his vison, he will approch her because he was stolen from and you can fight him normally without sibille being controlled.

On tip and note 1, I've used Sebille as a dual-wielding rogue to beat the entire game, with a lot of flesh sacrifice usage, and the -1 constitution wasn't a major issue, outside of cases where the enemy can do a ridiculously large amount of damage (which are so few and far between, they're barely worth thinking about) despite the fact that I never increased my constitution. Sure you lose some maximum health (and some health with it, if you're above the limit -1 would give you) but generally, it's not problematic, since by the time it has a really noticeable effect on your health, you'll be in the mid-hundreds of HP at least..

                                                  • Anonymous

I've been playing as Sebille for about 8 hours now, didn't class her as a Rogue, so I went Shadow Blade, and it's worked really well so far.
She doesn't die nearly as easily as you'd think when fighting on the front lines, though it helps to have a ring with Restoration.

As a side-note on Stingtail, you can leave it alive if you're playing Sebille yourself.
The quest advances as expected, you just threaten to kill him, a lot, though you get like 3-4 opportunities to actually end his life.

Stupid that you can't advance her quest without Griff, even when meeting Zaleskar.

It's not my fault that he attacked me.

Just going to say that, Sebille makes an excellent Hydro-Necro-Pyro-Geo-Conjurer. Had her in my party and she was the strongest hands down. She was usually up front and Flesh Sacrifice never hindered her.
