Divinity Original Sin 2 Crafting Guide
Getting Started

In order to craft items, you can press G to open the Crafting Menu. From there, simply drag your materials into the available slots and press Combine to create your new item.
Special Ingredients
Keep an eye out for Eternal Artefacts found at the Blackpit Mine. These count as rare crafting ingredients and can be used to significantly buff your Armor.
Enchantment & Arrows

You can easily enhance your gear early on. Combine any pair of Boots with Nails to gain immunity to slipping on ice. Another example, you can combine your melee weapon with any poison to add some extra poison damage. For offensive crafting, note that the damage of Special Arrows scales with the Warfare ability (which boosts overall physical damage), not their respective elemental schools.
Gift Bags & Crafter's Kit
Players can enable official mods called Gift Bags at any time via the game menu, but note that doing so disables achievements for the current playthrough. Turning on the Crafter's Kit adds a truckload of new recipes. For example, you can create a Cooking Station (Cooking Pot + Campfire) and combine it with an oil source and your weapon to coat it with fire damage. It also allows you to combine Large Armor potions into Giant ones, and craft explosive arrows from plain arrowheads.
Rune Crafting Tips

If you possess an item with a Rune Slot, right-click the item and select Manage Runes to socket your chosen rune. Runes can be upgraded and further strenghtened with Rune Frames.
Pro-Tip: Do not sell Skulls! You can combine a Mortar and Pestle with a Skull to create Bonedust. Combine Bonedust with Stardust Herb to get Stardust. Finally, mix Stardust and Bonedust to create Pixie Dust, which is essential for upgrading your Runes.
Skill Book Crafting
Crafting is an essential source for obtaining Skill Books. Many unique spells cannot be bought from traders, especially Hybrid Skill Books. To obtain a new hybrid skill, you need to combine any Elemental skill book (such as Pyro, Hydro, Aero, or Geo) with any non-Elemental skill book (such as Warfare, Huntsman, Scoundrel, Necromancy, Polymorph, or Summoning).
Potions & Combat Crafting

Consuming potions only costs 1 AP. Their effects can be incredibly powerful, especially since the Five-Star Diner talent doubles the effects of all potions. Furthermore, you can use the crafting menu during combat. This is extremely useful for recharging the Glowing Idol of Rebirth with a Resurrection Scroll mid-fight without losing a turn. Later in Act 4, do not miss out on Lady Kemm's Tea. By combining Tea Leaves bought from Lady Kemm with her teapot, you can create consumables like Green Tea (reduces AP cost of all skills by 2) or White Tea (increases max AP by 2). Consuming them costs 0 AP, making them arguably the most broken consumables in the game!
