In Neverness to Everness, players can change the time of day and weather conditions using an in-game adjustable clock available right from the start of the game. Skipping time and adjusting weather conditions are purely cosmetic changes and have no effect on actual gameplay in NTE.

How to Change Time and Weather in NTE
Both time of day and weather conditions can be changed via the “Time System” interface in NTE. To open it, bring up your phone (icon in the top right corner of the screen), and select “Time System” (shown above). It is also possible to open the Time System through the Radial Menu if you have that set up.
How to Skip Time in NTE
To change the time of day, move the white circle on the edge of the clock in the Time System menu to the desired time slot and hit “Confirm” in the bottom right corner of the screen to implement the selection. The time selector is in the 24-hour format; there is no way to change this to the 12-hour format.
You can skip 72 hours at once using the Time System by circling the time adjuster around the clock multiple times. After passing the 00:00 mark the first time, the clock will say “Tomorrow,” and after the second time, it will say “Day after Tomorrow.” There is no limit to how much time you skip, since there are no calendar-locked events in NTE.
Certain missions in NTE forcefully change the time of day when they are actively tracked. The Nature's Gift side mission, for example, requires you to take a “picture of the sunset” at a certain location, and if you have that quest tracked in the journal, it forces the game to change the time of day to evening so that you can get the shot.
How to Adjust Weather in NTE
To change the weather, select any of the available options in the bottom bar: Sunny, Rainy, Snowy, or Random, and hit Confirm. The time of day will move forward by 30 in-game minutes, and the weather will change to the selected option. This can be done in tandem with a time skip as well.
Snowy weather is unavailable by default. To unlock it, you’ll need to complete the side quest “A Retrograde Poem for You,” which is shown as “Co…. Collect cold Air?” on the Hethereau map, found just south of the Northridge Town Wertheimer Tower. This side quest is available right from the start of the game.
The photo mode in NTE has a built-in environment setting that lets you change time of day and weather conditions without the use of the in-game Time System, as well as many other Environment settings. If your goal for changing the time of day and weather is to get the perfect lighting/weather for the perfect shot, using the photo mode’s settings allows for more precise fine tuning.
