To get Cartridges in NTE, you must farm the Rabbit Hole using your Character Pixel. Meanwhile, getting Modules are much easier, since you only need to use the Rewind function on the character page. However, since both of these are time-gated by the energy system and limited material, you need to slowly do it to fully build your character in NTE.

How To Get Cartridges In NTE
You can get Cartridges in NTE by doing the Rabbit Hole challenge. The domain is located in Cape Square, south of the New Herland District area. You must spend 40 Character Pixels, which is your energy, to farm the item.
Approach the bunny to start the challenge, then choose which level you want to play. Each level comes with different Cartridges, which have their own set of effects. You should choose the item that matches the character you want to build.
If you press on the Cartridge, you can see its set effect. The set effect will activate when you equip the correct Module shape on the character.
Note that Cartridges also have a main stat, so you still need to farm for the correct Cartridge stat on top of getting the right set.
How To Get Modules In NTE
To get Modules in NTE, open the character page, head to the Console section, then press Rewind on the bottom left.
Here, you can choose between Easy, Normal, and Hard. Easy gives you blue Modules, Normal gives you pink/purple, and Hard gives you gold Modules. You need to raise your Hunter level to unlock the higher tier. Normal unlocks at level 20, and Hard at level 30.
Each pull will consume Carrota, which you get from the Rabbit Hole along with Cartridges. Of course, you can also get Carrota from other sources in the game, like leveling up or quest rewards.
Once you unlock Normal and Hard levels, you can choose which eight Modules you want to get. This will increase the Carrota price, but it makes it easier to get the shape that you want.
Character Console In NTE
Once you have Cartridges and Modules, you can build a character by arranging their Console. Each Esper have their own Console shape, so you can expect a little variety when building them.
Each character also has its own special effect, which encourages a specific Module shape for their Console. For example, Nanally get 6% Critical Rate for each Type II Module she has.
Once you have the correct stats and shapes, you must level up the Cartridge and Modules using Manhole coins. There are three types of this material: Manhole Thug, Manhole Crook, and Manhole Boss. This material also comes from the Rabbit Hole stages.
If you want to quickly level up and get a ton of resources, then you should do things like opening safes in NTE, or doing quests like the Lonely Player Anomaly Commission, Change Your Perspective Anomaly Commission, and Ride Assault Anomaly Commission.
