Aspyr has announced the release of a new “Community” update for Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered. Players on Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, and elsewhere can download it now.

The update includes new, community-requested features as well as bug fixes and optimizations. As part of this, the game now supports 60 FPS in Classic Graphics mode, a brightness slider, and more.

Rise of the Tomb Raider 1.0.2 update

Aspyr put out the first post-release update for Rise of the Tomb Raider on Nintendo Switch 2 with version 1.0.2.

A ton of different elements have been improved and fixed. The visuals, animation, gameplay, stability, and performance have all been touched up.

Another Tomb Raider game has been added to the Nintendo Switch 2 lineup. During the most recent Nintendo Direct, Rise of the Tomb Raider was announced and released.

Following up on Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, this is the second entry in the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy. It’s the first time that Nintendo players can try out the action adventure game.

We touched on a number of important topics, such as the actual porting process, the reason for not releasing on the original Nintendo Switch, and the possibility of supporting gyro controls for aiming in the future.

Aspyr recently explained to Nintendo Everything why the new Switch 2 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider doesn’t run at 60 frames per second.

When playing the game on Nintendo’s console, the action is locked to 30 FPS. Some were hoping that it’d be higher – if not 60 FPS, perhaps a middle ground at 40 FPS.

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis

Just a day after being announced for Nintendo Switch 2 with a release date of February 12, 2027, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis has found itself at the center of controversy among fans following the appearance of an AI disclosure on the game’s Steam page.

Crystal Dynamics later addressed the situation, confirming the use of the technology and explaining that it is being used to assist developers during production.

Aspyr is continuing its push to bring over prior Tomb Raider games to Nintendo Switch 2, and today, announced Rise of The Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration for the console. This one is being shadowdropped – it’s out today.

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is on the way to Nintendo Switch 2, it’s just been revealed. The game launches on February 12, 2027.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a reimagining of Lara Croft’s very first adventure. The visuals have naturally received a major overhaul, but there’ll also be updated gameplay plus “new surprises that honor the spirit of the original.” Those playing on Nintendo’s console can expect “the same cinematic scale and fluid gameplay, fully optimized” for the hardware.

Aspyr lived up to its promise to update the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, as a patch has just been released which adds TressFX.

The inclusion of TressFX was one of the biggest player requests from the port. Up until today, it was missing in the game. TressFX is notable since it’s used to render and simulate Lara Croft’s hair more realistically.

Crystal Dynamics, Bit Bot Media, and FreakZone Games issued a launch trailer for Legacy of Kain: Ascendance. The fast-paced 2D action platformer has now come to Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, and other devices.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered

February 12: Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered was just announced, and it’s seeing release on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch. It’s arriving for both platforms on March 3, 2026.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered marks the return of the 2003 classic. For the remaster, there’ll be updated graphics, camera upgrades, a graphics and camera toggle to switch between the new version and original graphics at any point, world and level maps, unlockable skins drawn from across Legacy of Kain history, a Photo Mode, and lore and archival content.
