Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition just received an overview trailer, which shows off what to expect from the new version of Monolith Soft’s RPG.

As was first announced in last month’s Nintendo Direct, Pyra and Mythra are both getting new outfits. We have a look at both above.

June 9: Bohemia Interactive is putting its popular game DayZ on Nintendo Switch 2 with a Cool Edition, according to the company’s Nintendo Direct announcement. This version is planned for 2026.

DayZ is a survival-focused multiplayer sandbox game. It takes place in “a post-apocalyptic world, offering complete player freedom to explore vast landscapes, where unscripted encounters and player-driven stories shape every adventure.”

Not one, but two new physical rewards were just added to My Nintendo in North America.

First up is the Super Mario World desktop metal display. There’s a catch with this one: it’s available exclusively to paid Nintendo Switch Online members.

Square Enix is sharing the latest details on Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World today, which cover the game’s battle system and Synthesis. We also have a look at characters, monsters and more.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will be adding Tagah as free DLC, it’s been announced. The character will be available later this year.

Tagah comes from Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender. For those that are unaware, he’s a new character introduced in the new film. Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender actually makes its official debut this Saturday (or tomorrow if you’re at Comic Con).

Today, Entalto Publishing and Maboroshi Artworks confirmed the release date for Sombras: Negative Frames on Nintendo Switch 2. Look for it on December 3, 2026.

Sombras: Negative Frames, a first-person light horror adventure game, was previously revealed in May. We knew it was planned for Q4, but when exactly was unclear.

Originally announced for Nintendo Switch, Akatori now appears to be coming to Switch 2 instead. This version of the game has launched in 2027.

We received the latest communication from HypeTrain Digital today, which does not make any mention of the original Nintendo Switch version. We’re assuming at this point it has been scrapped.

Whatnot Games has announced that its retro-inspired racing game Star Racer is coming to Nintendo Switch. A release window has not yet been announced.

Inspired by classic sci-fi racers like F-Zero on the SNES, Star Racer blends high-speed racing with combat in a retro-styled package.

After 11 years without a new entry, the Rhythm Heaven series finally returned with Rhythm Heaven Groove, which launched for Nintendo Switch on July 2. The release also marked the return of Japanese musician, composer, and producer Tsunku, who worked with Nintendo once again after creating the music for the original game.

In a post on his blog, Tsunku reflected on the 11 years leading up to the game’s release. He revealed that he occasionally received offers from other companies to create games similar to Rhythm Heaven, but declined them out of gratitude toward Nintendo and because he believed he would one day have the opportunity to work with the company again.

Square Enix put out a launch trailer for the new Nintendo Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy 10 / 10-2 HD Remaster. The pair of RPGs land on the console with some quality-of-life extras that weren’t in the original Nintendo Switch version.
