As revealed by Circana, 63 percent of new physical games sold this year in the United States have been on Nintendo platforms. It’s unclear what the breakdown is between Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch.
For those wondering, 32 percent of physical games sold were on PlayStation platforms. Xbox had just over four percent.
Starting today, Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter players can access a brand new “Blood and Brine” expansion. Nintendo Switch users can download it for free.
The DLC introduces a brand new area featuring 11 new quests, 10 new bosses, a unique fishing mechanic, nine new armor sets, and new original music. Doug Cockle is also back as the series narrator.

Unfortunately, things haven’t gone smoothly so far. While the network test was scheduled to begin today, players immediately started to encounter connectivity errors. Right now, the servers don’t seem to be up to the challenge of handling the amount of traffic coming in.
Lunadra: Luna Awakens the Legendary Dragon has just received a major update, as well as a free demo on the Nintendo eShop. Previously the game’s demo was only available in Japan, but it has now been released to other regions.
The new update contains a quite a couple of major additions. A boss rush mode was added, weapons are now upgradeable, and fast travel has been added with the ability to warp between villages.

Jenny LeClue: Detectivu is getting a new Nintendo Switch 2 version, it’s been revealed. It’s planned for September 7, 2026.
Some of you may remember Jenny LeClue: Detectivu from its previous release on Nintendo Switch. This is the Spoken Secrets Edition, meaning voice acting for the entire game is included. Also, it’ll run at 1080p handheld and 4k 60 FPS docked.
June 6: Shochiku Games and Crossbridge Game are planning Moomin: Midsummer Madness for Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, the companies revealed today. A release is planned for later in 2026.
Moomin: Midsummer Madness is a hand-painted and cozy point-and-click adventure inspired by Tove Jansson’s Nordic fantasy novel, Moominsummer Madness. After an unexpected flood overtakes Moominvalley, the Moomin family finds refuge in a mysterious floating theatre, and you’ll play as Moomintroll and Little My as they attempt to find their way home.

Toei Animation has officially announced Expelled from Paradise: The Stellar Angel for Nintendo Switch. The title has been given a release date of November 21, 2026.
Expelled from Paradise is a Sci-fi anime film from 2014, taking place within a desolate earth where most inhabitants live within a virtual reality. The movie will actually be receiving its first sequel this November, with Expelled from Paradise: The Stellar Angel also being a direct follow up to the first film.
