Akatori now coming to Nintendo Switch 2 instead of Switch 1, new trailer

Originally announced for Nintendo Switch, Akatori now appears to be coming to Switch 2 instead. This version of the game has launched in 2027.
We received the latest communication from HypeTrain Digital today, which does not make any mention of the original Nintendo Switch version. We’re assuming at this point it has been scrapped.

Metroidvania game Akatori coming to Switch

HypeTrain Digital, along with Code Wakers, have now confirmed plans to bring Akatori to Switch. A release window has yet to be announced.
Akatori is a Metroidvania wield a staff as Mako while fighting, jumping, and exploring various realms across different eras. Additional information is included in the following overview:
