Ringed Knight Notes & Trivia
- Can be used to farm Filianore's Spear Ornament for the Spears of the Church covenant. The easiest location to do this is near the Ringed City Streets bonfire. Run through the gated shortcut and jump down off the left side to the swamp below, taking care not to aggro the nearby Judicator. Now move out towards the nearby crumbling building where three knights stand guard. With careful movement, or a few well-aimed projectiles, they can each be lured out to fight one-on-one. Past the left edge of the building is the fourth and last knight, who can be dispatched more easily by starting the fight with a plunging attack. Though they are not the safest source by far, wearing a full set of item discovery/soul farming gear makes the knights a great source not only of Filianore's Spear Ornaments but also Titanite Chunks, Titanite Scales, Embers, and basic Souls. (Efficient runs take about 2 minutes, netting a considerable number of souls in addition to any items they happen to drop.)
- When the straight sword variant holds its blade upwards and lights it, it will either do a Soul of Cinder-esque 5-hit combo or a lunging thrust from long range.
- The spear variant's shield roar can knock players back, so be careful when fighting them near cliffs.

Lore Items Related to Ringed Knight
Darksign
The Darksign is the sign of an accursed Undead.
The Darksign returns its bearer to the last bonfire rested at, or the bonfire at Firelink Shrine, but at the cost of all souls held.
Carriers of the Darksign are reborn after death, and eventually lose their minds, turning Hollow. And so it is they are driven from their homelands.
Ember
No Unkindled can ever truly claim the embers that burn within a champion's bosom, which is precisely what makes their yearning for warmth so keen.
Gain the strength of flame and increased max HP until death.
With the strength of fire, the summoning signs of Unkindled become visible, and seekers of embers can be summoned to join in co-operation. But beware, the embers may also attract invaders.
Firelink Greatsword
The Lords of Cinder linked the First Flame, and this Greatsword was wielded by their deific manifestation.
This coiled sword, found thrust in the bonfire, existed long before the throneless lords themselves.
Dragonhead Shield
This shield, as hard as a great boulder, is formed by the head of the descendant of an Archdragon.
The Ringed Knights, by command of the gods, stood amongst the ranks who set out to slay the dragons, but their contributions were never lauded.
Ringed Knight Armor
Malformed black armor of the Ringed Knights.
The armor of early men was forged in the Abyss, and betrays a smidgen of life.
For this reason the gods cast a seal of fire upon such armor, and those who possessed them.
Ringed Knight Hood
The hood of the Ringed Knights.
These knights don Abyss-tainted black cloth, with layer upon layer hiding their eyes.
This was nothing less than an attempt to reveal that which the seal of fire has occluded, a subtle defiance of the gods' wishes.
Ringed Knight Straight Sword
Straight sword wielded by the Ringed Knights.
The arms of early men were forged in the Abyss, and betray a smidgen of life.
For this reason the gods cast a seal of fire upon these swords, and those who possessed them.
Ringed Knight Spear
Black spear wielded by the Ringed Knights.
The arms of early men were forged in the Abyss, and betray a smidgen of life.
For this reason the gods cast a seal of fire upon these spears, and those who possessed them.
Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords
Paired black greatswords wielded by the Ringed Knights.
The arms of early men were forged in the Abyss, and betray a smidgen of life.
For this reason the gods cast a seal of fire upon such weapons, and those who possessed them.
