BG3 He Who Was Dialogue Background
He Who Was is a Shadar-Kai, they are elves transformed by the Shadowfell, until nothing remained but a mournful, joyless existence between life and death.
Shadar-kai serve the Raven Queen inside the Shadowfell. The Raven Queen was an interloper goddess of death, fate, and winter from the world of Nerath. The Raven Queen is obsessed with collecting memories and essences (typically of loss and grief), and sends the shadar-kai to retrieve mementos of tragic events, whether they are physical tokens, memories, or the souls of the dead. They are guided in doing so by ravens, such as He Who Was' raven companion.

AnonymousI ended up siding with He
Who Was but I made him stab himself too much and ended up killing him and his bird. Tried it a second time by calling the dwarf a coward. I wrote down the current EXP I had at the time, and noticed that I ended up with 300 exp more by killing him
AnonymousBreaks Oath of Devotion to say it was the womens fault and that she was a coward....: P. Guess I just have to LIE and say it wasn't her fault for literally ratting out her friends to an evil as crap church.

AnonymousWell the info here is certainly thread bare to say the least. Fingers crossed for an update.
Primarily, which options at the quests conclusion, provides the most XP and of course what different rewards are on offer...
AnonymousDoes anyone know if this guy comes back at all in Act 3? If not I hope we see him again in DLC
