Filro the Forgotten Boss Tips

Filro the Forgotten is a mage that prefers to fight at a distance, while the pack of Hook Horrors at his side gets up close and personal with your party. It is a good idea to focus on the Hook Horrors first, and try to take them one by one.

Having Glut on your party while taking on this fight might be beneficial.

If the Bulette emerges, it may attack the Hook Horrors as well as drawing attention from them. Use this distraction to your advantage!

I went nonlethal after hearing him wail about "killing his beloved" and then, when I knocked him out, the last horror slit his throat with a Pounce.

I tried just knocking Filro out after killing all the Hook Horrors then I healed his injuries because I did not want to kill him I just feel so bad for him. I went back after a long rest although I knew the chance of him not being there were great I still hope he would be. But unfortunately I was right Filro was not there. So I choose to believe that Filro woke up came back to his senses (from having gone temporary insane), realized this whole thing was a huge mistake. He then quickly made his way safely back to where ever his actual home is in The Underdark.

if you start the fight by sneaking around or throwing a blossom thing that causes an antimagic field, he leaves the range of it, and makes him completely worthless, giving you enough time to take out the hook horror next to him if you make sure to use your surroundings. And in general, you can take out the hook horrors 1 by 1, making it basically just him and one hooked horror you can take out easily.

I saw him singing, so I tried to talk to him multiple times but he immediately attacks everytime. So he really doesn't have dialogue lines.... what a shame.

i wonder if he has any dialog lines if you charm person him

or even further, cast dominate person and maybe bring him to the petrified drows and see their reaction

i'd guess they didn't prepare for this scenarios :(
