The Riddler puzzles scattered throughout Gotham become much easier to locate once players unlock Batgirl, who can access the Towers and reveal collectibles, including Riddler puzzles, on the map. However, actually solving these puzzles is still the difficult part, especially since many require specific characters, gadgets, or puzzle mechanics introduced later in the game.
The guide below for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight covers every Riddler puzzle found across Central Island, alongside their locations and full solutions in LEGO Batman Legacy.

All Central Island Riddler Puzzles Solution
Hacky Code
- You need Batgirl unlocked for this puzzle.
- Hack both terminals and move the “?” plate over to the right.
- Bring out Batgirl’s Drone and fly it through the gap into the building so you can scan the code.
- Use the code to open the door.
- Pull the cage out and position it directly underneath the magnet.
- Lower the magnet using the wheel, then rotate the arm so it drops the cage onto the pressure plate.
- This will open the cage and allow you to grab the cube.
Move it of Lose it
- You need Catwoman unlocked for this puzzle.
- Stand on the railing near the building so you can hit the two targets using Batarangs.
- Switch to Catwoman and use her whip to break the wooden board.
- You can now climb the wall and activate the switch powering the cage.
Live(re)wire
- You need Nightwing unlocked for this puzzle.
- Start by hitting the Batarang target on the node to begin the electric current flow.
- Use your other gadget to trace a line and hit the target to reroute the power upward.
- Your main objective here is to hit the targets whenever one of the red “?” symbols lights up.
- Continue tracing the power lines correctly so the electricity flows all the way to the top.
I Need a Symbol
- You need Catwoman unlocked for this puzzle.
- As Batman, examine the ground next to the puzzle and follow the trail using UV Vision.
- This will lead you to the first symbol, which is a “V” with a dot above it.
- Next, destroy the boxes on the ground near the statue.
- Build the structure to create a swan statue, which has a “C” shape on its wing. This is the second symbol.
- Afterward, destroy the box next to the puzzle to find the energy source.
- Insert the energy source into the generator.
- Switch to Catwoman and climb the wall to activate the switch.
- This powers the lamp and reveals the final symbol, which is a triangle with two dots above it.
- The final solution is: “V, C, and Triangle.”
There’d Better Be a Mirror Puzzle (Puzzle Room)
- After entering the room, break everything inside.
- Build the Riddler statue using the scattered pieces and place the green hat onto the statue.
- Switch to Catwoman and use her whip on the disfigured “?” statue.
- Hit both points until the statue matches the reflection shown in the mirror.
- Use Catwoman’s whip on the shelf to reveal a “?” symbol that is missing an item.
- Go through the vents and use Batman’s hook gadget to reveal a point that Catwoman can whip.
- Hit it twice so a wheel appears behind you.
- Place the wheel on the side of the bed to reveal a “?” cane.
- Use Spray Explosives on the wall to the left.
- Place the cane onto the “?” symbol on the wall to solve the puzzle.
Riddler Puzzle Room (Puzzle Room)
- Break the yellow figure in the room to build a hook above the door.
- Pull it using Batman’s hook gadget.
- Switch to Talia and teleport inside the room.
- Make your way to the lever and pull it down.
- Grab the candle from the kitchen counter and place it on the table.
- Switch to Batman and pass the vase through the small window connecting the two rooms.
- As Talia, grab the vase and place it next to the red switch.
- Switch back to Batman and head through the newly opened door to find a Teddy Bear.
- Pass the Teddy Bear through the opening.
- Place the teddy bear on the chair and pull the lever.
- Grab the Teddy Bear again and place it into the middle slot.
- Switch to Talia and pass the statue head over to Batman.
- Place the statue head into the leftmost slot.
- Switch back to Talia and use her teleport ability to leave the room and rejoin Batman.
- Use Talia’s poison dart on the enemy behind the bars when he stands in the middle window.
- This will solve the puzzle.
