We'll share a full walkthrough of Paradox Junction below, but first, it might help you to see all the steps you'll have to complete:

  1. Activate Pack-a-Punch
  2. Build the Blundergat
  3. Upgrade the Blundergat into the Sundergat
  4. Find the RC-XD Remote and access the hidden garage in Trinity Avenue.
  5. Acquire the Chalk from the hidden garage.
  6. Reach Clean Nuketown to shoot a swing seat in the Yellow House Backyard to pick it up.
  7. Go to Destroyed Nuketown and interact with the swing set in the Yellow House Backyard to place the Seat and Chalk.
  8. Shoot the loudspeaker found in Trinity Avenue when facing south, left of Pack-a-Punch.
  9. Activate Wisp Tea near the loudspeaker to pick up the Goggles.
  10. Find and pick up the Headset.
  11. Place the Goggles and Headset into the Toy Box in Trinity Avenue.
  12. Enter the Yellow House Garage and interact with a red box to get the Irradiated Seeds.
  13. Return to Clean Nuketown to place the seeds at the grass patch in Trinity Avenue, and kill zombies with the Sundergat.
  14. Return to Destroyed Nuketown to find a tree where you planted the seeds and throw 3 Combat Axes to pick up Strange Firewood.
  15. Enter Clean Nuketown and place the Strange Firewood in the fireplace at the Yellow House, then throw a Molotov to light it.
  16. Enter Destroyed Nuketown and stand on the "X" in Trinity Avenue. Stand on it, and immediately teleport to Clean Nuketown.
  17. In Trinity Avenue's west area, you'll find a hopscotch minigame. Jump from 1 to 12, then 12 to 1. After, escort the item that appears to the fireplace at the Yellow House via Sundergat kills.
  18. Enter Destroyed Nuketown and shoot the basketball with the Sundergat, then shoot it with any weapon to move it to the "X" in Green House Backyard.
  19. Go to Clean Nuketown and interact with the basketball. You need to melee the ball after it bounces, and keep it in the white square for the timer. After, escort the glowing item to the Toy Box in Trinity Avenue with the Sundergat.
  20. Head to Destroyed Nuketown's Green House Backyard and wait for the Piano Teacher zombie to spawn.
  21. Turn her with Brain Rot or a Psyche Grenade and lead her to the piano in the Green House.
  22. Teleport to Clean House and go to the Green House, where the Piano Teacher will unlock the piano.
  23. Head back to Destroyed Nuketown and find the 8 piano notes around the map. You need to interact with them in order of their flashes. (1 will flash once, and 8 will flash 8 times, etc.)
  24. Teleport to Clean Nuketown and interact with the piano keys in the following order: 8-6-7-5-6-5-3-5 (left to right).
  25. Go to Destroyed Nuketown and shoot 3 floating zombies in the Yellow House Backyard when facing east.
  26. Return to Clean Nuketown and interact with the ball in the middle of Trinity Avenue. Let the ball bounce, and kill zombies that are thrown up into the air. This drops another soul item that needs to be escorted to the Green House with the Sundergat.
  27. Enter Destroyed Nuketown and set the clock on the roof of the Green House to 00:00 (shoot the hour and minute hands), then immediately teleport while shooting the clock.
  28. Follow the blue orbs in Clean Nuketown, then interact with the twins at the Yellow House Backyard to begin the boss fight.
  29. Beat the Dark Heart boss to complete the easter egg.

Check out the full guide below, and we'll walk you through every part of the quest, step-by-step.

Step #1: Activate Pack-a-Punch

The first step requires you to enter the Yellow House Backyard. You'll find a corpse to the left of the Perk Machine holding the Truck Keys, which can be picked up.

Now, wait for Round 7, where you will be teleported to Clean Nuketown. From here, interact with the truck in the Cul-De-Sac's south area that blocks the path to Trinity Avenue. At the back of Trinity Avenue, shoot the yellow orbs and kill the zombies to make the Pack-a-Punch spawn.

Step #2: Craft the Blundergat

Acquire the Sealant

In Clean Nuketown, the Sealant item can be found in the Yellow House Upstairs, on the bottom shelf to the left when facing the southeast wall.

Acquire the Barrel

You can find Loot Cysts in Destroyed Nuketown. Kill around 15 to 20 zombies to burst the cysts around the map, and the correct one will have the Barrel. You can listen closely for a chime sound effect to hear which Loot Cyst is the correct one.

Acquire the Hammer

Also in Destroyed Nuketown, head to the Yellow House Upstairs and interact with the vials at the east wall on a desk to get the SO3 bottle. Now, interact with the sink in the Green House kitchen, and interact with it again to fill the vial with acid (H2SO4).

Look around Destroyed Nuketown for mannequins. One will have an audio chime. Once you've found the correct mannequin, head back to Clean Nuketown and interact with it to pour acid over it. Then, return to Destroyed Nuketown to find the Hammer where the mannequin used to be.

Acquire the Stock

In Destroyed Nuketown, there will be black goo on the walls of three locations. One of them will have an audio chime to indicate the right one. Here are the locations:

  • Yellow House Garage's north wall.
  • Green House's north wall, up the stairs.
  • Trinity Avenue's north wall in the Der Wunderfizz area.

After finding your audio chime, head to Clean Nuketown and use an explosive (Ray Gun or Grenade) on the wall. Now, return to Destroyed Nuketown to find the wall destroyed with the Stock item waiting for you.

Enter the Truck Interior in Cul-De-Sac and melee strike the workbench, which will open up. You can now interact with the workbench to craft the Blundergat.

Step #3 Upgrade the Blundergat to the Sundergat

Remain in Destroyed Nuketown for at least 2 Rounds, as a zombie will spawn in a fire tornado in the Yellow House Backyard, Green House Backyard, or Trinity Avenue. Approach this zombie, and the Tortured Zombie must be escorted to the Blundergat track. Kill him with the Blundergat in the truck.

This must be repeated two more times (a total of three). The third time has a Mimic. Now, return to Clean Nuketown and place the Blundergat in the workbench. Finally, return to Destroyed Nuketown and interact with the workbench to get the Sundergat.

Step #4: Open the Secret Garage with the ARC-XD

In Destroyed Nuketown, there are three potential spawns for the ARC-XD remote control, which we've listed below:

  • Yellow House Garage — shelf on the east wall.
  • Green House Backyard — against the white fence in the dirt, behind the Perk Machine.
  • Trinity Avenue — cement blocks when facing south, to the right of Pack-a-Punch.

Interact with the ARC-XD remote to control an ARC-XD. Use the ramp to take it out of the map, where you can jump over some boxes and lead it to the interior of a locked garage. Approach the garage door and red barrel, then explode the ARC-XD to open it.

Step #5: Obtain the Chalk & Swing Seat to Spawn the Twins

You can now enter the open garage in Trinity Avenue, where you can interact with a dead zombie to make it fade away. This will then drop the Chalk item, which can be picked up.

With the Chalk, head back to Clean Nuketown to find a swing set in the Yellow House Backyard. Shoot the seat to make it drop, then pick it up. With this item, head back to Destroyed Nuketown and interact with the swing set to spawn the twins.

Step #6: Acquire the Goggles

In Destroyed Nuketown, head to the back of Trinity Avenue. To the left of Pack-a-Punch, you'll find a wooden pole with speakers. You can shoot it with any weapon to cause the Goggles to drop.

In order to pick up the goggles, you will need the Wisp Tea Perk activated so that it can fetch the Goggles and bring them into the map for you to collect.

Step #7: Acquire the Headset & Place The Items in the Toy Box

The Headset can be acquired with Death Perception and has three possible spawn locations. All of which are in Destroyed Nuketown:

  • Cul-De-Sac — By the trash cans when facing south, close to the Green House.
  • Green House Upstairs — inside the northwest wall in the destroyed bedroom.
  • Yellow House Backyard — In the fenced area within the southeast corner.

Aim at the locations shown above with Death Perception as your Perk to see a glowing red item that can be interacted with.

Now that you have acquired both the Goggles and the Headset, you will need to return to Clean Nuketown. In Trinity Avenue, by a wooden box, you will find a blue toy box that can be interacted with to place both items inside.

Step #8: Get the Irradiated Seeds and Grow the Tree

Inside Destroyed Nuketown, you can head into the Yellow House Garage. On the south wall is a shelf with a red box that can be interacted with to obtain the Irradiated Seeds.

Go to Clean Nuketown, where you can place the Irradiated Seeds on the grass area in Trinity Avenue, by the red house to the left of Pack-a-Punch. You need to get Sundergat kills in this area until the screen flashes white.

Step #9: Build the Fireplace

Return to Destroyed Nuketown and grab a Combat Axe from the Crafting Table. You will need to throw Combat Axes at the grown tree in Trinity Avenue to get three pieces of Strange Firewood.

Return to Clean Nuketown and place the Strange Firewood into the Fireplace inside the Yellow House. You can now light the fireplace with a Molotov Cocktail, also obtained from the Crafting Table.

Step #10: Complete a Game of Hopscotch

In Destroyed Nuketown, you can find a white "X" in Trinity Avenue. After standing on it, the white "X" should light up with a blue hue. You must now immediately run to the time travel function to get to Clean Nuketown.

If done quickly enough, you can find the twins at Trinity Avenue by the west wall, where a hopscotch game will appear on the ground, and an orb will appear at the number one block.

You will now need to jump from 1 to 12 without missing a number, but you also need to watch out for the black square. Jump from 1 to 12, then from 12 to 1. Doing so correctly spawns a floating yellow item, and you need to get kills around it with the Sundergat so it moves towards the fireplace in the Yellow House.

Step #11: Find the Basketball and Complete the Ball Game

Head to Destroyed Nuketown, where you can find a basketball in one of three locations. When found, shoot the basketball with the Sundergat to make it drop. Here's where to find it:

  • Yellow House Backyard — look up to the rooftop of the Yellow House.
  • Trinity Avenue — On top of some boxes when facing the west.
  • Trinity Avenue — On the roof of the green house in the east.

After shooting the ball with the Sundergat, move it to the "X" that can be found in the Green House Backyard by shooting it with any weapon. Be careful not to shoot it too hard, or it might go out of bounds.

Return to Clean Nuketown and head to the Green House Backyard. Now, interact with the ball and melee it diagonally every time it bounces so that you can keep it in the square. Repeat this until the timer expires, where another soul box will spawn. Kill zombies with the Sundergat and escort the floating item to the Toy Box in Trinity Avenue.

Step #12: Find the Piano Teacher and Unlock the Piano

Once again, return to Destroyed Nuketown. Head to the Green House Backyard and wait for the Piano Teacher to spawn. She will eventually spawn near the end of a round, so feel free to wait around the area and kill zombies to thin the herd. Once spawned, take her into the Green House and make her a Charmed zombie through Brain Rot or a Psyche Grenade.

Once she's Charmed, she will run to the piano. Now, quickly teleport to Clean Nuketown and return to the Green House, where the zombie will unlock the piano. This begins the piano puzzle part of Paradox Junction.

Step #13: Solve the Piano Puzzle

In Destroyed Nuketown, there will be 8 glowing symbols around the map. Each of these symbols has 5 lines and a circle in one of the lines. The circle will flash a certain number of times and then pause.

The goal is to find the symbol that flashes once, and interact with it. Then, find the symbol that flashes twice, and interact with it, and so on, all the way to the eighth and final symbol. Here's where you can find the symbols, but your flashing order will be different:

  • Cul-De-Sac — on the exterior of the school bus.
  • Cul-De-Sac — on the fence when facing east.
  • Green House Backyard — on the bomb shelter's right side.
  • Yellow House Backyard — on a fencepost in the small garden area where the Perk Machine is.
  • Trinity Avenue — on a destroyed wall in the west.
  • Trinity Avenue — on a garage door in the west.
  • Trinity Avenue — on a rock, opposite Pack-a-Punch.
  • Trinity Avenue — on a brick wall when facing north.

After interacting with all 8 symbols, head to Clean Nuketown. Inside the Green House, you will find the piano and all 8 symbols on the wall. You can now interact with the piano, where you can press the keys in the following order from left to right:

  • 8-6-7-5-6-5-3-5

Step #14: Shoot 3 Floating Zombies and Complete the Final Game

Return once again to Destroyed Nuketown. Face east from the Yellow House Backyard to look outside the map, where you can find floating zombies in the distance. Kill three of them, and blue orbs will float to the center of the map.

Head to Clean Nuketown, where in Trinity Avenue, you will find a chalk circle and a ball. Interact with the ball, and it will begin to bounce. You must let a zombie come into the circle, where the ball will bounce on the ground and send the zombie into the air.

You must kill the zombie as it's in the air and before it hits the ground, and repeat this step until another floating item spawns. This is easy with the charged Sundergat shot. Now, escort the floating item through Sundergat kills, all the way to the piano at the Green House.

Step #15: Set the Clock to 00:00 and Chase the Blue Orbs

Step #15 Set the Clock to 0000 and Chase the Blue Orbs Image via GameRant; Source: Activision

Inside Destroyed Nuketown, look at the roof of the Green House to find a clock. You will need to shoot the hour hand and the minute hand so that they're both set to zero. Now, teleport to Clean Nuketown, but as you're teleporting, shoot the red hand on the clock.

In Clean Nuketown, head to the Green House to find the twins at the piano. They will transform into a blue orb and head to the following locations:

  • Toy Box at Trinity Avenue.
  • Fireplace at the Yellow House.
  • Swing Set at the Yellow House Backyard.

When the twins are at the swings at the Yellow House Backyard, you can interact with them to begin the boss fight. We recommend stacking up on Kazimirs, Perks, and upgraded weapons before beginning. We'll talk you through the boss fight below.

Step #16: Defeat the Dark Heart Boss Fight

The Dark Heart will be immune to damage. To begin, you will need to find black goo cysts in the following locations:

  • Trinity Avenue
  • Green House Backyard
  • Yellow House Backyard

You will need to kill zombies around the goo to destroy it and reveal the item. After killing enough zombies around the areas, one of the artifacts will have a blue shield around it, known as a Concentration Field. You must kill zombies and stop them from damaging the Concentration Field.

Kazimirs are exceptional for this step. You save one for each of the Concentration Fields.

The artifact that you must protect is indicated by the blue orb that floats to one of the three locations. Once you've protected one, follow the orb and protect the other until all three have been protected. After, the Dark Heart will become vulnerable to damage. The weak spots are the glowing orange cracks across its body.

The Dark Heart will spin, summon fireballs, and fire tornadoes, while zombies also try to attack you. Distance is key, as is movement. We recommend the Novaline for damage.

After enough damage, the Dark Heart will go immune. You will once again need to free the artifacts from the goo, but this time, the Concentration Field step will have Rad-Hounds, too. After completing all 3, it's time for the damage phase again.

For the third and final phase, a Tortured Zombie (fire tornado zombie) will spawn in the center of the map. You must escort it to the three goo places, while protecting it from zombies. Kill the Tortured Zombie when it's near the goo. It will then respawn. Take it to the remaining goo piles.

Step #16 Defeat the Dark Heart Boss Fight (8) Image via GameRant; Source: Activision

Complete the final set of Concentration Field protections, and then defeat the Dark Heart in its third and final phase. This phase is even more intense, as it will keep spinning to hide its weak spots. After it's defeated in the third phase, the ending cutscene plays, and you've completed the easter egg!
