| Theoretical postulations have amply filled my time to date, but I am swiftly approaching the point where supplies will be necessary to move further. If I cannot procure an assistant soon, I will be forced to track down a necessary item myself. To wit, a catalytic amplifier is a key component for the “personal shield gadget” (note: official name pending). Unfortunately, these are only available from dragoons of a certain make and model. I have been unable to convince our Chief Mechanist to part with it since the automech is our sole remaining defense. I admit I have idly considered a forceful removal of the item, but harming the unit would render it unusable. There are rumors that a second dragoon assigned to this facility wandered off down the coast after becoming addled by zyranium exposure. If desperation forces my hand, I may need to hunt after it. I am so close to completing this device. |
