Above and Beyond Repair is a Side Quest in The Outer Worlds 2. In Above and Beyond Repair, Acquisitions Officer Kaur's scouts have reported that the Protectorate's Repair Center is being rebuilt. She'll need someone to gain access to the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center and sabotage it from the inside.

 

Officer Babylon Kaur of Fairfield needs the Automech Repair Center permanently incapacitated. Visit the facility and prevent it from ever supplying repairs to Protectorate automechsin the region again. Aiding her should help you get into the Vox Relay.

The Outer Worlds 2 Above and Beyond Repair Quest Objectives

• Gain Entry to the Automech Repair Center
  Before you can sabotage the facility, you'll need to find a way in. Kaur hinted that engineering know-how may be useful in duping the guards.
• Find Automech Repair Center Access Credentials within the Ministry of Accuracy (Optional)
  You may be able to find some credentials that will allow you into the Automech Repair Center at the Ministry of Accuracy.
• Obtain the Experimental Shield Gadget from Delphinia
  It seems a new arrival to the facility has been working on a self-protection gadget of some kind. 
  Locating such a gadget might help you to enter the Automech Repair Center's main building.
• Sabotage the Facility
  Now that you're inside, you'll need to find a way to sabotage the main automech facility. The zyranium clouds may make that difficult, however...
  • You used the flow control terminal without closing both conduits, sabotaging the facility.
  • You used the newly acquired shield gadget to get past the dense zyranium blocking entrance to the main facility.

How to Start Above and Beyond Side Quest in Outer Worlds 2

You can start the Above and Beyond side quest by speaking with Acquisitions Officer Kaur at Fairfield inside the Town Hall. She'll then ask you for your purpose of visitation, and you'll be given these dialogue choices: 

• I need to get to the Vox Relay
• I'm here to bring justice wherever I tread. Right now, my goal's the Vox Relay (Requiress the Lawbringer Background)
• I don't think I'm ready for this kind of honesty in a relationship.
• [Attack] Looking for Auntie's Choice bootlickers to kill. Hey, I'm talking to one! [Leave Conversation]

Choose the first dialogue option, "I need to get to the Vox Relay." and she'll offer you a deal about making some Protectorates bleed. You'll then be given new dialogue choices:

• Suppose there's no shame in hearing what you've got planned.
• Seems to me that you care more about efficiency than saving human lives.
• Have you seen any unusualy Protectorate subjetcs? I'm looking for someone named de Vries.
• I only just got here. You'll have to fill me in on where I am before we talk business.
• I don't think I'm comfortable doing this. [Leave Conversation]

You'll have to choose the first option again and hear out what Officer Kaur has planned. She'll tell you about how the Protectorates plan on bringing back the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center and that she needs the place sabotaged. She'll warn you that if you aid her in this quest, she suspects that any offer Minister Milverstreet has made to you will be rescinded. You'll then be given these dialogue options:

• Milverstreet said the same thing about you. He wants information on Mental Refreshment
• I'd rather work with you than Milverstreet. I prefer the direct approach.
• Wouldn't it be simpler to kill everyone in the facility than to sabotage it?
• What's the plan for infiltrating the facility?
• I want to think about this before I make a decision [Leave Conversation]

You can exhaust the dialogue with Acquisitions Officer Kaur and then pick afterward the second option, "I'd rather work with you than Milverstreet. I prefer the direct approach." She'll then ask you to get into the facility and make certain that it will never run again. After the conversation, the quest Above and Beyond Repair side quest commences.

 

How to get Access to Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center in Outer Worlds 2

The Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center is a repair center subjugated by the Protectorate, located in the east-southeast area of Paradise Island. Once you're at the entrance of the repair center, you'll be greeted by Sub-Mechanist Cade Tierney and Sub-Mechanist Missy Aubuchon. Sub-Mechanist Cade Tierney will then ask you to state your business there. You'll then be given a few options to choose from to enter the facility.

 

 

There are multiple options to choose from to enter the facility:

The first option requires you to have access to the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center Access Pass, which can be acquired at the Ministry of Accuracy, inside the main building, just above Inez's location. You'll have to progress through the area until you encounter the enemies, Raptidon Juveniles and Raptidon Spitters. Defeat them and climb up the ladder on the northern side, and follow the west path. You'll then have to jump across, where you'll see a terminal where you can print the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center Access Pass.

  

 

The second option requires you to have Engineering level 3 to persuade the guards at the front. Once Sub-Mechanist Cade Tierney asks you to state your business, you can persuade him by choosing the option "I just want to see what passes for automechanicals in these parts and help where I can." Afterward, he'll let you pass. Once you've made your choice and have gained access to the repair center, you'll need to find a way to sabotage the facility.

 

 

How to Sabotage Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center

Once you're past the guards, head over to the quest marker to reach a building filled with Zyranium. Once you're near the building, your Companion will tell you that it might be wise to give that large gas cloud a wide berth. As of the moment, you won't be able to enter the building as the air inside is toxic, and you'll perish if you inhale. 

 

 

You'll need to have access to an Experimental Shield Gadget to negate the effects of the Zyranium. This can be acquired by first speaking with Marshal Donelson in the center of the Repair Center near the building. (If you left the area and came back again, you can find him in his office on the second floor) Speak with Marshal Donelson, and he'll ask you to lend them a hand with their gas-leak Zyranium. You'll then be given dialogue options to choose from: 

• I'm not exactly a zyranium specialist either, but I'll do what I can for a price.
• Good luck with that. Don't make it my problem.
• What exactly happened to your predecessors?
• Be back later. [Leave Conversation]

 

 

 

Choose the first dialogue, and Donelson will ask you to speak with Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant. Delphinia Bryant is a scientist and the chief deviser inside the repair center. Head outside Marshal Donelson's office and head straight to the quest marker, the building beside the automech repair shed. 

 

 

 

Speak with Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant and you'll be able to unlock the An Aegis Against the Miasma. An Aegis Against the Miasma side quest is a quest where you'll need to assist Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant with her task by collecting Zyranium and acquiring a Catalytic Amplifier. She'll promise to give you a prototype shield gadget that will allow you to enter and sabotage the facility. 

 

 

Once you've completed the An Aegis Against the Miasma quest and have acquired the Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus, head to the main building and enter. Inside the building, the Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus will trigger instantly. You'll then have to move toward the downward ramp, and on the left side of the ramp, you'll be able to see a vent you can crawl into.

 

 

Head inside the vent and crawl your way to the exit vent. Once you're outside, there will be a few Malfunctioning Wasps. Defeat them and you'll notice on the right, a High Security Lockbox. Pick up the lockbox and head toward the middle door. Inside will be a terminal you can use to seal the room and vent the gas. This seals the room and removes the zyranium gas inside. Use the AutoDoc beside the terminal if you need to. 

 

 

 

Pick up the lockbox and head toward the middle door. Inside, the room will be filled with zyranium gas. You will need to use the terminal to seal the room and vent the gas by choosing [Seal Room & Vent Gas]. This seals the room and removes the zyranium gas inside. Use the AutoDoc beside the terminal if you need to.

 

Return to the terminal and choose the following from the terminal. [Initiate Zyranium Flow Shutdown], [Override Safety Measures and Perform Shutdown], and [Disregard Safety and Perform Shutdown]. This will destroy the facility from within. You'll then have to report back to Acquisitions Officer Kaur.

 

Report Back to Officer Kaur in Fairfields

After you've sabotaged the Euphoria Coaster Automech Repair Center, head back to Acquisitions Officer Kaur and report back to her. You'll then be rewarded with the Designator Triple Barrel Shotgun, Kaur's Kuirass, along 1080XP. The quest Above and Beyond Repair ends here.
