The next Splatoon game needs to make this big change

With Splatoon Raiders having recently released on Nintendo Switch 2, it’s safe to say that we likely aren’t seeing Splatoon 4 anytime soon. Even so, Splatoon 3 has plenty of content to offer in the meantime – and it’s generally the best-received entry in the series to date.
With that being said, it’s still got one major problem: its Splatfests. To tie into the whole “3” theme, Splatoon 3’s events all revolved around selecting one of three different teams. However, this wound up creating more of an imbalance than a competent gimmick – here’s how we would fix that in Splatoon 4.

Splatoon 3 Summer Nights 2026 Splatfest results

Following the conclusion of the Splatoon 3 Summer Nights 2026 Splatfest, we now have the full results. Players were asked which they would reserve for a day. The options were a palace, theme park, and a beach.
The halftime results that came in last night were showing yet another close battle. Team Theme Park barely had the lead at 33.47 percent – Team Beach and Team Palace were right behind at 33.41 percent and 33.12 percent respectively.

Splatoon 3 11.3.0 update announced, patch notes

Nintendo just announced the latest update for Splatoon 3, which is version 11.3.0. It will be out tomorrow in North America and early Thursday in Europe.
We previously reported that the Plastic-Bottle Shot Replica would be added as part of a Splatoon Raiders tie-in. Aside from that though, a bunch of different balance adjustments have been added.

Nintendo has announced another update for Splatoon 3, which is a special collaboration of sorts with Splatoon Raiders.
Do you have Splatoon Raiders save data on your system? Have you completed the main story? If so, you’ll be able to receive the Plastic-Bottle Splattershot Replica. This weapon has the same features as the Tentatek Splattershot.

Splatoon 3 is bringing back its Summer Nights event with a 2026 event, which will feature a Splatfest.
This time around, Nintendo is asking players which event they’d reserve for the day. The options are visiting a palace, theme park, or beach.

Splatoon 3 x Splatoon Raiders Collaboration Splatfest results

Splatoon 3 held a special Splatfest this weekend to celebrate the upcoming launch of Splatoon Raiders, and we now have the results. As a reminder, players were asked to choose their favorite fighting style between speed, power, and tactics.
At halftime, Team Tactics had the lead, but as is often the case things were very close. Team Tactics led with 33,80 percent, but Team Speed and Team Power were right behind at 33.65 percent and 32.55 percent respectively.

Nintendo just announced the next update for Splatoon 3, which will bring the game up to version 11.2.0. It will be available on June 10 in North America and June 11 in Europe.
According to Nintendo, the update is about multiplayer balance and matchmaking. Various adjustments have been made to weapons. Another update is planned for the future, which will also focus on changes to multiplayer balance.

Splatoon 3 Spring Fest 2026 Splatfest results

Splatoon 3 players were able to get involved in the latest Splatfest this weekend as the Spring Fest 2026 event took place, and following that, the results are in. The topic had players choosing between Baby Chicks, Li’l Bunnies, and Bear Cubs.
Based on the halftime results, Team Bear Cubs had an extremely slim lead at 34.11 percent. Team Baby Chicks and Team Li’l Bunnies were right behind at 33.16 percent and 32.73 percent respectively.

Splatoon 3 is bringing back another Splatfest theme, this time for its 2026 Springfest. The event will be held during the weekend of April 3.
Nintendo is asking the question of which fuzzy fluffiness they prefer. Options include Baby Chicks, Lil’ Bunnies, and Bear Cubs.

Nintendo has announced a new version 11.1.0 update for Splatoon 3. It will be released tomorrow night – March 18 in North America / March 19 in Europe.
According to Nintendo, the patch is focused on changes to matchmaking and multiplayer balance. Aside from adjustments to weapons, there are also modifications to X Battle matchmaking.
