With Splatoon Raiders having recently released on Nintendo Switch 2, it’s safe to say that we likely aren’t seeing Splatoon 4 anytime soon. Even so, Splatoon 3 has plenty of content to offer in the meantime – and it’s generally the best-received entry in the series to date.
With that being said, it’s still got one major problem: its Splatfests. To tie into the whole “3” theme, Splatoon 3’s events all revolved around selecting one of three different teams. However, this wound up creating more of an imbalance than a competent gimmick – here’s how we would fix that in Splatoon 4.

How to beat the secret boss in Splatoon Raiders

Today, we’re going over how to beat Splatoon Raiders’ secret boss.
Splatoon Raiders is a pretty big game – getting to the main ending is simple enough, taking somewhere around 20 hours or more if you really take your time. In order to get to the secret boss, though, you’ll have to fight through tons of challenges that could bump your total play time up to around 40 hours.
Thankfully, Splatoon Raiders’ secret boss is nowhere near as difficult as Octo Expansion’s – we were able to clear it in under three attempts, though each attempt takes quite a while. We’re being as vague as possible in this first section to avoid spoilers, so save this post and come back later if you get to the secret boss and need some tips.

Xenoblade Genesis breakdown, analysis, and speculation

In many ways, Xenoblade Genesis looks to be a whole new beginning for the Xenoblade franchise. One important consideration is that they’ve dropped the “Chronicles” from the English localization, and when you consider that Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed was a wrap-up for the original trilogy, it’s clear that this really is the beginning of something new.
At the time of writing, we’ve only got a brief two-minute trailer of Xenoblade Genesis. Because of that, we admittedly don’t have a ton to go on here. But while we wait for the next big Nintendo news drop, it can’t hurt to speculate and analyze a little bit anyhow.

In 2026, Nintendo has been somewhat quiet. There have been plenty of games, of course, but relatively little in terms of big reveals – at least in the first half of the year. This silence leads to lots of leaks and rumors and the meantime, which in this case led to things like the Ocarina of Time remake rumor, among other things.
In the past, there have been several other leaks that popped up during relatively quiet times, and have gained traction for one reason or another. So today, we’re discussing leaks that people thought were real, but turned out fake for one reason or another.
“Predicting” Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s release date using amiibo

Nintendo’s new Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2 hasn’t had a very good track record with leaks. Everything about it has leaked – the existence of the game itself was outed and hinted at months before its official announcement, and more recently new Zelda-themed Switch 2 consoles and Switch 2 Pro Controllers found their way online.
Though we still haven’t seen any gameplay at the time of writing, it’ll be interesting to see how Nintendo goes about sharing it for the first time as well as which avenue they choose to do so. It’s fairly clear that the company hasn’t really been in control when it comes to releasing new tidbits about the Ocarina of Time remake, so today, we’re speculating where and when we might see the game, and when it may release.
Nintendo has not “lost its soul” – here’s why

“Is Nintendo losing its soul?” This is a question that pops up every few years as Nintendo releases new hardware and new games. And it kind of makes sense, when you think about it – most of our most cherished gaming memories are from when we were younger, and newly-announced and upcoming games don’t share any of those nostalgic vibes or memories because they haven’t had a chance to yet.
But in 2026, gaming as a whole isn’t in a great spot. Between Sony ready to go all-digital, Microsoft laying off tons of employees, and general hardware and software prices increasing, it’s tougher and tougher to keep up with all the new releases. And while things have certainly gotten more expensive in recent years, it’s safe to say that in most respects, Nintendo has retained its “soul”. But it’d be boring to just leave the conversation at that, so let’s break down the essence of a bunch of branches of Nintendo and see how they’ve held onto themselves even in the modern day.
Star Fox 100 percent completion criteria list

You may have noticed we’re posting this Star Fox 100% completion criteria list over a month after the game originally released on Switch 2. Why so long? Because one month is, give or take, about how long it took this writer to fully complete the game! There are quite a few tasks to fulfill if you want to go for 100 percent completion, and they range from extremely difficult to extremely time-consuming, and sometimes even both at the same time. You’ll need tons of patience and lots of skill to make it through, so if you’re up for the challenge, here’s how you can do it yourself.

8 of the most unexpected games Nintendo has ever released

If you’re on social media these days, you might occasionally hear the claim that Nintendo only releases games for the same few franchises over and over again – Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, and the like. Yes, the company does definitely release titles for these properties very often, but they’ve also released some unexpected and even impossible titles for less-loved franchises over the years. We’ve seen this become especially prevalent on Switch 2 – Nintendo launched Donkey Kong Bananza in 2025 instead of a new 3D Mario and Kirby Air Riders instead of a new Super Smash Bros. entry, for example. Both a 3D Mario and a new Smash are probably in some stage of development, but at the end of the day, Nintendo is willing to take risks from time to time.

7 Star Annihilape guide for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

We haven’t written up a guide for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet 7 Star Tera Raid Battles in a while, but the currently ongoing 7 Star Annihilape event is extremely difficult. We figured it’d be helpful to share some tips.
Annihilape is running Tera Ghost, and it has Rage Fist, which increases in power by 50 every time it takes damage. And if you have any CPUs in the battle at all, Annihilape could take damage up to four times per turn. Needless to say, Rage Fist is quickly going to spiral out of control, eventually outdamaging even the strongest Z-Move. That means you absolutely must run a Normal-type, but Annihilape also has Close Combat. To make matters worse, it has Defiant, which makes this raid much more difficult if you’re a solo player. Luckily, we’ve come up with a two-Pokemon team to take 7 Star Annihilape down.

Where to find the Starmie Doll in Pokemon Pokopia

For those playing Pokemon Pokopia, we’ve got a dedicated guide about where to find the Starmie Doll and how to get it.
Pokemon Pokopia’s Bubbly Basin DLC recently dropped, and with the new area also comes a new Dream Island. Inevitably, you’ll run out of materials to find within Bubbly Basin, so you’ll need to use the newly-introduced Starmie Doll to grab some coral, ore, and pearls. And while the easiest way to get a Starmie Doll is to take a picture of it on a Cloud Island – 6DXL PD6F is our personal favorite, and includes just about every item in the game – we’ll go into more detail on that, as well as the intended way to obtain a Starmie Doll plus the Legendary* Pokemon you can find on the island with a rare chance. If you don’t want to be spoiled on who that is, you might want to come back later – otherwise, let’s get right into it.
