Nintendo has released its maintenance schedule for the week of August 2, 2026.

We’ve known that a bit of downtime for Nintendo Switch Online is planned, and that’s still on the docket. That’s actually the only session planned that’s been officially announced. This will be happening a bit later in the month.

A new eShop sale from Annapurna Interactive is live, which brings discounts of up to 80 percent on Switch 2 and Switch games.

A number of titles are at new low prices. These include the acclaimed Outer Wilds and LEGO Voyagers, just to name a couple.

It’s been a minute since we last heard about Ground Zero Hero, but it now looks like the game is heading to Nintendo Switch 2. A listing on the Nintendo eShop has it down for August 20, 2026.

Originally, Acclaim announced that Ground Zero Hero would be appearing on Nintendo Switch. However, we’re not seeing a listing for that console – only Nintendo Switch 2. This version has either been scrapped or will launch later.

Following its release this week, Kusan: City of Wolves has received a launch trailer. Fans can get a final look at the brutal neon-soaked adventure title, which is out on Nintendo Switch.

Onion Game has announced a special physical release for Stray Children. This new “Treasure Box” release will be available on December 10, 2026 in Japan.

Alongside with a standard physical copy of Stray Children for Nintendo Switch, the new edition is to include an art book, a CD contains music from the game, a cloth map, and an acrylic keychain. Although this new release has only been confirmed for Japan, the physical cartridge will run in English if it’s the language set in your console settings.

CloverPit

CloverPit is making the jump to Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch, Future Friends Games and Panik Arcade revealed today. Both versions are slated for August 13, 2026.

CloverPit, described as “a rogue-lite slot machine nightmare”, has seen a lot of success since its initial launch last year. Players will be able to purchase the Unholy Fusion DLC on the same day. On Nintendo Switch 2, optional mouse controls are included along with a performance boost.

Splatoon 3 Summer Nights 2026 Splatfest

Splatoon 3 is bringing back its Summer Nights event with a 2026 event, which will feature a Splatfest.

This time around, Nintendo is asking players which event they’d reserve for the day. The options are visiting a palace, theme park, or beach.
