How the map is organized

The world is walked area by area rather than roamed as one open map. Five areas form the route, each containing between three and six regions, and travel between them happens aboard the walking Purification Ship.

The interactive map on this page covers the Ogouchi Buffer Zone, the opening area of the Kanto Region, and every other zone has its own map, all of them linked directly above it. Each one marks Camps, Hokora wayside shrines, Caves, Entrances, Quests, NPCs, Enemies and Bosses, along with Strongboxes, Valuable Items, Amber Deposits, Documents, Fish, Seedlings and crops, plus companions such as Koo, Brad and Kagura. Use the search bar for a specific name, click any category on the left to show only those pins, or tick Mark as Completed on a pin to track what you have already found.

Always Use the Map

As you explore the world, Koo will pick up the scent and mark any nearby points of interest such as Keeper Golems, collectible items, and strongboxes containing valuable materials for upgrading equipment and the Cleansewalker. In addition to marking them on the HUD when nearby, they will also be revealed on the map once their scent is picked up by Koo. So occasionally checking the map to ensure you have collected everything nearby or within a zone will help you acquire any missing items and prevent the need to return to previous maps as you progress through the story.
