Beast of Reincarnation World Guide
Beast of Reincarnation is set in Japan, two thousand years after a catastrophe, in the year 4026. The journey runs across five large areas, each holding several distinct regions.
How the world is organized
The world is organized in two levels. Five areas form the overall route, and each area contains a handful of regions with their own layouts, inhabitants and resources. That structure is why this wiki has area hubs rather than one flat list: twenty-one regions with no grouping above them would be unnavigable.
Travel between areas happens aboard a walking vessel that serves as your mobile base, rather than through a conventional overworld. The route itself moves roughly from the Kanto region toward the old capital.
A dedicated World Map page tracks the layout of the route.
The five areas
Each area hub below covers where it sits on the route, which regions it holds and what gates progress out of it.
- Kanto Region: The Kanto Region is where the journey begins, and it holds the opening region along with the first several stretches of open country.
- Area 2 (Mountainous Region): The second area is the largest by region count, covering six distinct stretches of open country.
- Area 3 (Drowned Region): The third area is more compact than the second, and one of its regions holds a fortified enemy position rather than open country.
- Area 4 (Wasteland Region): The fourth area contains a named landmark, the Wall of the World, which is the clearest signal that this stretch of the route is a threshold rather than another leg of it.
- Area 5 (Capital Zone): The fifth area is the endgame stretch, and the end of a route that runs from the Kanto region toward the old capital.
Before you leave an area
Whether you can return to an area after leaving it has been described differently by the developer and the publisher. Until that is settled, treat every region as one you will not revisit, and sweep it before moving on.
