Tarnished Locket is one of the available Amulets in Baldur's Gate 3. In BG3, there are two types of Accessories, Rings or Amulets. Once equipped, these Accessories may give the character certain bonuses, such as new Spells, resistance against certain kinds of damage, bonus AC, an increase to an Ability Score or more.

AnonymousCarried by the Tiefling Zorru was traveling with. Her corpse can be found in the Blighted Village, surrounded by 3 ogres, and her identity can be confirmed by using speak with dead on the corpse. In the same manner, you should be able to find the location of the githyanki without first confronting Zorru.
You do not seem to be able to return this locket to Zorru after confronting him and asking for the location of the Githyanki, but you might be able to if you acquire the locket before meeting him. You might not be able to return the amulet if Lae'zel or another Githyanki, such as the PC, is in the vicinity - but as it is I'm only guessing that you MIGHT be able to return the locket to Zorru since he was the traveling companion of the dead Tiefling.
Why can't I return the amulet to Zorru? I dragged the body of his friend and the amulet all the way back to him expecting something, but he doesn't aknowledge her body at all and there is no dialogue avalible when carrying the amulet. Shame.
