Black Ops 2 Zombies' Tranzit easter egg has two sides: Richtofen vs Maxis. If you're looking to complete the Richtofen Tranzit easter egg, then we have the step-by-step guide to follow below. We'll quickly walk you through the easy steps for this main easter egg so you can complete them solo or with friends, regardless of whether it's your first time or your hundredth!

This easter egg will be easier with 2+ players as you will need to EMP four lamp posts. However, it can be made easier on PC with Plutonium through the BO2-Full-Solo-Mods mod, as you will only need to hit two lamp posts. I also recommend playing as Samuel J. Stuhlinger, as he's the only one who can hear Richtofen's quotes.

Tranzit Maxis Side Easter Egg Steps Overview

  1. Turn on the Power.
  2. Build the Nav Card Table.
  3. Build the Jet Gun
  4. Acquire EMPs and Explosive Weapons.
  5. Destroy the Jet Gun at the Nav Card Table.
  6. Get 25 Explosive Kills at the Pylon.
  7. Use EMP Grenades on four Lamp Posts at the same time.

Step #1: Turn on the Power

You'll need to take the bus to the Power Station, which is through the following route: Bus Depot > Diner > Farm > Power Station. Once here, open the door at the outhouse to drop down into a white lab area. There are three parts in this main chamber to pick up: the Hand, Switch, and Generator.

Find the three parts and build the Power Switch in the Power Station, and then turn it on. You need to keep the power on, so feel free to leave the Power Station and continue with the next steps, and maybe grab some Perks!

Step #2: Build the Nav Card Table

You're going to need to build the Nav Card Reader. There are four parts, and when you pick one up, you need to take it to the pylon in the Cornfield, which is between the Farm and Power Station in the fog on the left:

115 Meteor

115 Meteor
  • Found at the Bus Depot. You need to leave the main doors and then look into the zombie barrier just behind the Mystery Box.

Wooden Table

  • Spawn #1 can be found in the tunnel between Bus Depot and the Diner at the zombie barrier to the right by the Wall-Buy.
  • Spawn #2 can be found underneath Tombstone Soda in the Power Station, by the end of the metal walkway.

Electrical Box

  • Spawn #1 is to the left of the fridge in the Farm at the central house.
  • Spawn #2 is by the dumpster in Town, to the right of the Mystery Box spawn.

Radio

  • Spawn #1 is on top of a locker in the mechanic's garage in the Diner.
  • Spawn #2 is in Nacht der Untoten, on a table towards the right. This area is accessed by sticking to the right of the Cornfields between Farm and Power Station.

Step #3: Build the Jet Gun

jet gun build

You're now going to need to build the Jet Gun. This weapon has four parts, and each part you obtain must be carried individually to the crafting table by Stamin-Up in Town:

Jet Engine

The Jet Engine can be found in the tunnel between the Bus Depot and the Diner:

  • To the right of the M16 wall-buy.
  • To the left in a corner by a garage door.
  • In the middle, by a car and before the lava pit.

Handle

The Handle can be found in Nacht der Untoten, which you can find by heading right through the Cornfields after Farm:

  • At the back wall by the shelf.
  • On the stairs by the debris.
  • By the lantern on the left.

Wires

The Wires can be found in the Power Station after you've activated the power:

  • On top of the electrical box, found by dropping down the railing.
  • On top of a barrel after dropping down the railing.
  • At the edge of the lava pit.

Pressure Gauge

The Pressure Gauge is found at the Hunter's Cabin, which is on the left path when running from the Power Station to Town:

  • In front of the fireplace.
  • By the metallic bed frame.
  • On a wooden barrel.

Step #4: Acquire EMP Grenades & An Explosive Weapon

There are two items you need from the Mystery Box: EMP Grenades and an explosive weapon (Ray Gun). While any explosive weapon will do, the Ray Gun is recommended, as you will be required to kill zombies in a small area using explosives, and the Ray Gun has the most damage and the least self-punishing splash damage.

While only one of you needs the Ray Gun, all four players (or just you in solo) need the EMP Grenades. This might take a while to get both items, so just keep spending your points at the Mystery Box until you have the items you need!

Step #5: Break the Jet Gun at the Nav Card Reader

With the Jet Gun, EMP Grenades, and explosive weapon, it's time to head back to the Cornfield where you built the Nav Card Reader. You need to stand as close as possible to the Nav Card Reader and use the Jet Gun until it explodes. You'll know you've done it correctly if Richtofen speaks to Samuel.

Step #6: Kill 25 Zombies Under the Cornfield Pylon

Step #6 Kill 25 Zombies Under the Cornfield Pylon

Now that Richtofen has confirmed the Jet Gun step has worked, you just need to stand underneath the pylon and get 25 explosive kills. This can be done with any explosive weapon, but since the Grenade Launcher and the RPG are unreliable (and the splash damage might kill you), just use a Ray Gun from the Mystery Box until Richtofen speaks again.

Step #7: Deactivate Four Lamp Posts with EMP Grenades

The final step for Richtofen's Tranzit easter egg requires all players to deactivate the lamp posts with EMP Grenades. This is easy enough with four players, as each of you can head to a lamp post and just throw EMP Grenades at the same time. Lamp posts can be found at each POI and in the fog.

If you've done it fast enough, a blue orb will pop from the lamp post and shoot off into the pylon at the Cornfields. This will confirm that the Richtofen side of the Tranzit easter egg is complete, and if you return to the lobby, the Tranzit icon will now be highlighted blue.

If you're playing solo (with the mod), you're going to want to stand at a lamp post and get a denizen on your head. Take the denizen under the lamp post so it activates a portal. Now, throw an EMP at the lamp post and jump into the portal, and immediately throw a second EMP at the new lamp post where you teleported to.
