Liverpool have held talks with the representatives of Chelsea forward Pedro Neto over a late-window move to Anfield, according to Football Transfers.
Liverpool announced the signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, in a deal worth up to £123m, and they had been looking to land another winger before the 11pm transfer deadline on Tuesday.
Talks were advancing with Manchester City over a £85m deal for Cody Gakpo to leave, although the Netherlands international now looks set to stay at Anfield, according to breaking reports on Monday evening.
The Merseyside outfit have made a bid to sign Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr, according to Fabrizio Romano, but they failed to make a breakthrough in negotiations with their Premier League rivals over a move.
GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs revealed on X on Sunday night that the Senegal international is pushing the Eagles to sell him to Liverpool, with the 28-year-old the club's preferred winger target ahead of Brighton and Hove Albion's Yankuba Minteh.
According to Football Transfers, Neto is high on Liverpool's transfer shortlist and club officials have recently contacted the Portugal international's agents to gauge the chances of a deal before the deadline.
The former Wolves star is open to leaving Stamford Bridge, according to the report, if he receives an attractive proposal.
