Tuvalkane is an NPC in Soulframe. Tuvalkane allows access to the crafting system after she arrives in the Nightfold. NPCs provide players with information about the Lore of the game, or Locations of Omen Beasts, they will also give players Items or Quests that may or may not impact the story.

Successor to Kane, the Steelsinger of legend. Tuvalkane toiled under master's tutelage until the very moment of her untimely death. Days of hammering. Nights of sharpening. All to reach an eternal afterlife... Back in the bellows.

Tuvalkane Information in Soulframe

Tuvalkane is an NPC where players can go to provide crafting materials so that she can produce new Weapons and equipment. Players can encounter different NPCs with abilities that can then be sent to the Nightfold, the main hub of the game, to unlock different features and mechanics and expand the hub such as Crafting. This is how you can access Crafting and Blacksmithing abilities. Players will need to gather resources and the required materials before a crafting job can be initiated.

Tuvalkane will have a Crafting Rank. The Blacksmith will have a Crafting menu that will display the available Inspirations, Reforge, and Curing menu options. You will also be able to view the Crafting requirements needed for the selected job and the Curing Time. Blacksmithing jobs will need some time before the desired Equipment piece is produced. Players can return to the Blacksmith once the time has passed to pick up the new equipment piece.

Where to Find Tuvalkane in Soulframe

• Pick up the Moonsteel Helm near Oro's Well, and follow the quest marker to return the helmet to the blacksmith's hearth. A cutscene will begin and you will find her in Nightfold.
• The Moonsteel Helm can be found near Oro's Well:

• Once you reach the location, defeat the enemies guarding the Moonsteel Helm. Use cover and your abilities to close the gap and eliminate them quickly. After clearing the area, you can pick up the Moonsteel Helm from the ground.

• After picking up the Moonsteel Helm, follow the guiding sparrow along a designated path to where the helm must be delivered. Along the way, you’ll encounter more enemies where you will need to drop the helm in order to engage in combat, as you will be incapable of attacking or defending yourself while carrying items.

• Pick the helm up again after defeating the enemies and continue to follow the bird to deliver the Moonsteel Helm to the forge. After reaching the area, Tuvalkane will appear and take the helm. After she introduces herself, interact with her again to relocate her to the Nightfold. Once Tuvalkane has moved to the Nightfold, return there to find her newly established station.

Crafting and Reforging

After completing the Steelsinger Quest and relocating Tuvalkane to the Nightfold, players will be able to unlock the Crafting mechanic in the game. Crafting is the main way players can obtain Weapons, Armor, and Pacts. At first, players will have a limited selection of items that they can craft, even if they have the required fragments and materials for the items. More items will become available for crafting as players increase their Bond Level with her. Crafting Items also consume Materials and Fragments. Players can find these materials as they explore the world.

Each item that players craft will also take a set amount of real-world time to complete. Players can also only craft a certain number of Items at a time, though they can be sped up by spending  Arcs. Once an Item has finished crafting, players must have a free slot in their inventory to claim the item for the specific item type. However, it can stay within the forge until the player can claim it with no limit.

After crafting Weapons, players can also Reforge the weapons with Joineries. Reforging also requires a Bond Level of at least 2 with Tuvalkane to unlock. Unlike Crafting, Reforging weapons requires no wait-time, and the upgrade is instant. Reforging allows players to upgrade certain aspects of the weapons. The upgrades that are added to the weapons depend on the Joinery used. Some Joineries are also blessed, which are of the highest rarity. These blessed Joineries can change the weapon's attuned Virtue

Reforging a weapon also costs resources. To reforge a weapon, it costs the same Materials and  Dracs during the initial crafting of the specific weapons a player wishes to reforge, plus the chosen Joinery.

To raise your Bond Level with Tuvalkane, you need to craft Items that are initially available to you once you unlock the Crafting mechanic. Once you craft a certain number of items, your Bond Level will increase and you will be able to unlock the next tier of items. To get to Bond Level 3, you need to do the same thing and craft a certain number of the second-tier items until you unlock Bond Level 3.
