How does Crafting work in Soulframe?
Crafting in Soulframe enables players to create a diverse range of weapons and armor by gathering the necessary resources, including blueprints, referred to in the game as Fragments. These Fragments are essential for unlocking the ability to craft specific pieces of equipment. To begin crafting, players must first collect the required Fragments for their desired item and then gather the necessary materials and gold. These resources can be acquired through exploration, opening chests, completing quests, or simply progressing through the game's story.
Once you've met the crafting requirements, visit the Blacksmith located in the Nighthold and select the "Assemble" option to start the crafting process. However, crafting in Soulframe incorporates a real-time build timer, meaning you'll need to wait for the designated period before the item is complete. For instance, if the timer indicates 3 hours, you'll need to wait 3 real-world hours before the equipment becomes available. Once the timer expires, your newly crafted weapon or armor will be ready for use, allowing you to further enhance your character's capabilities.

What are crafting materials in Soulframe?
Crafting Materials in Soulframe are essential items required to produce new weapons, armor, and other equipment through the game's crafting system. As a core gameplay mechanic, crafting allows players to gather specific resources and combine them to create powerful and unique gear. These materials are processed at the Blacksmithing station, which becomes accessible after unlocking the Blacksmith at the Nighthold hub. They can be obtained through various activities such as exploration, completing quests, defeating enemies, or discovering hidden caches throughout the world. Additionally, some materials may be acquired as rewards for specific achievements or obtained through a trading system.
Do you need time to Craft in Soulframe?
In Soulframe, crafting is an immersive and time-based process. Unlike many games that allow you to instantly craft items, Soulframe introduces a semi-unique system where you'll need to wait for real world hours or even days before your crafted item is ready to be claimed and used.
This mechanic incorporates a real-time build timer. Essentially, each crafting object has a designated waiting period that mirrors real-world time. For example, if the timer shows that an item will be ready in 3 hours, you'll need to wait for exactly 3 real-world hours before the item is complete and available for use.
Let's take the Blitzel Bow as an example. To craft this weapon, you'll need to wait for 10 hours of in-game time. This means, while you're off doing other things, the crafting process is working its magic in the background.
The more powerful and intricate items you wish to craft will require longer wait times. This will have you plan and strategize your crafting, ensuring that more advanced and potent weapons are well worth the wait. On the other side, simpler weapons or items may be completed in a shorter time, allowing you to get back into the action more quickly.
