Elden Ring is launching imminently on Nintendo Switch 2, and we’re now able to get a better look at how it compares to the PS5 release with a graphics comparison video.
Much has been made of the Nintendo Switch 2 version going back to last year. Out of the gate, the title seemed to struggle with performance. FromSoftware definitely made improvements, but things aren’t perfect.

How to utterly embarrass yourself while “playing” Elden Ring on Nintendo Switch 2
Posted on 5 days ago by Nicholas Serpa in Features, Switch 2 | 0 comments
Look: although I have the privilege of writing about video games for this fine outlet, this does not, by any measure, mean I am always good at said video games. Everyone here on the Nintendo Everything team has a genre or two they know like the back of their hand, and I can tell you with complete certainty that Soulslike games are not my area of expertise. Regardless, the Nintendo Switch 2 port of Elden Ring and its Shadow of the Erdtree expansion – now bundled as the Tarnished Edition – remains one of the biggest third-party releases on the console this year, and I figured this would be a great opportunity to see if I was cut out for the challenge of one of 2022’s top-rated games.
Spoilers: I was not cut out for said challenge.
If you want to learn all about how to make an absolute fool of yourself while playing Elden Ring on Nintendo Switch 2, read on.

The Duskbloods network test had higher amount of applicants than Elden Ring: Nightreign
Posted on 1 week ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch 2 | 0 comments
The number of applicatants for The Duskbloods’ closed network test was higher than the amount for Elden Ring: Nightreign. That’s according to Yasuhiro Kitao, a producer at FromSoftware.
Kitao made the comments during a recent Famitsu live stream. FromSoftware was surprised by the news given that Nintendo Switch 2 is relatively new and therefore hasn’t built up its userbase yet. That said, Kitao feels that some fans may have been skeptical of Elden Ring: Nightreign given its multiplayer nature, but decided to give The Duskbloods a try.
Kitao said the following (as translated byNintendo Everything):

The Duskbloods has its first network test cancelled
Posted on 1 week ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch 2 | 0 comments
The Duskbloods’ first network test will no longer be happening, as FromSoftware made the decision to cancel things for today.
Unfortunately, things haven’t gone smoothly so far. While the network test was scheduled to begin today, players immediately started to encounter connectivity errors. Right now, the servers don’t seem to be up to the challenge of handling the amount of traffic coming in.

FromSoftware explains why The Duskbloods is Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive
Posted on 1 week ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch 2 | 0 comments
FromSoftware’s Hidetaka Miyazaki has explained the decision behind making The Duskbloods exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.
For the most part, the studio hasn’t been associated with Nintendo platforms. We did get Dark Souls: Remastered on Nintendo Switch a few years ago, but that was mostly it. The good news is that things are starting to change. Elden Ring is dropping on Nintendo Switch 2 next week, and a bit farther into the future, we’ll be getting The Duskbloods.
