Flayer is a Skill in Monster Hunter Wilds (MHWilds). Skills are granted to Hunters by their equipped Weapons, Armor, Talismans, and Decorations and play an integral role in a Hunter's progression.
Monster Hunter Wilds Flayer Effect
Flayer is increased in level based on the amount of Equipment with this skill the hunter is using. Each level works as follows:
| Level | Description |
| Level 1 | Makes it ever so slightly easier to inflict wounds. Also deals additional non-elemental damage. |
| Level 2 | Makes it moderately easier to inflict wounds. Also deals slightly more additional non-elemental damage. |
| Level 3 | Makes it easier to inflict wounds. Also deals moderately more additional non-elemental damage. |
| Level 4 | Makes it much easier to inflict wounds. Also deals more additional non-elemental damage. |
| Level 5 | Makes it significantly easier to inflict wounds. Also deals much more additional non-elemental damage. |
Flayer has 5 levels, after which, additional levels won't provide any further benefit.
Although the description currently does not mention it, this skill does not activate on certain attacks of each weapon and thus might not be a good skill for some weapons. The developer will modify its description in the updates in the future.
