Budget

Budgets are part of the campaign creation process and provide full control over campaign spend and delivery timing.

Each budget has a status that reflects its current state:

• Scheduled - planned for the future;
• Delivering - campaign spending;
• Completed - flight ended or limits fully used;
• Stopped - manually paused.

All budgets belonging to the campaign are shown in the Budgets tab on the campaign creation/editing page.

Keep in mind

A campaign can be created without budget; however, it will not start delivering until at least one budget is added.

Creating a budget consists of two steps: setting the flight dates and defining the total or daily spend limits.

Step 1: Set Flight Dates

Select the start and end dates for the budget using the date picker. A new budget cannot be created if its flight dates overlap with any Delivering or Scheduled budgets within the same campaign.

By default, UTC0 Time Zone is selected, but it can be adjusted up to campaign’s schedule.

Step 2: Define the Total OR Daily spend limits

• Total limits - sets a fixed total spend/impressions limit for the given flight. If even pacing is not enabled, the budget will be spent as quickly as possible;
• Daily limits - sets a daily spend/impressions limit. The campaign will spend up to this amount each day for the given flight.
• Even pacing - enabling it ensures that spend/impressions are distributed evenly over a specified period rather than being over-delivered at the start or under-delivered towards the end. Even pacing respects chosen Time Zone

Note!

Any unspent daily budget will not carry over to the next day.

Once a budget is created, the actions available depend on its status:

• Scheduled – the budget can still be edited or deleted before it starts delivering;
• Delivering – the budget is active and cannot be edited, only stopped;
• Stopped – the budget cannot be resumed, it can only be viewed;
• Completed – the budget can be viewed.
