The Hacker is a unique item found on Moon in Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 3 Zombies. With this item, you might not be able to breathe in space, but you are going to be able to hack an abundance of items. From free Mystery Box spins to giving your friends points and always swapping Power-Ups into Max Ammo, the Hacker can do it all, which is why we've listed everything it can do and its spawn locations right here.
The locations and effects are the same for Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 3, although they will visually look different. For instance, the shelves in BO1 will instead be bookcases and workbenches in BO3.
All Hacker Locations on Moon
The Hacker can be found in the labs, which are the rooms to the right after the power switch and MPD. Each floor will have 2 spawn locations for the hacker, indicated by the yellow paper. Only one player can have the Hacker at a time, so check these spots:
- Opposite Double Tap, which is to the left of the entrance door.
- To the left of the stairs that lead to the second floor.
- On a shelf to the right, immediately after heading up the stairs to the second floor.
- On a shelf to the right of the stairs that lead to the third floor.
- On a shelf behind a chair to the right of Deadshot Daiquiri on the third floor.
- On a shelf to the left of the doors that lead to the Biodome on the third floor.
Remember, having the Hacker replaces the P.E.S. suit, so if you're in areas outside with no oxygen, or areas with smashed windows, then you will suffocate, so stay in the Biodome!
How to Use the Hacker Device (& All Effects) on Moon
When you have the Hacker, you can interact with specific objects to "hack" them. Here are the following things you can do with the Hacker:
- Hack Excavators in the spawn area to prevent Excavator Pi from destroying Tunnel Six, Excavator Omicron from destroying Tunnel 11, and Excavator Epsilon from destroying the Biodome.
- Hack the Mystery Box after it's been spun to spin it again for 600 Points.
- Hack the respun Mystery Box to refund 950 Points and allow the weapon inside to be grabbed by any player.
- Hack Power-Ups for 5,000 Points to change it to Max Ammo.
- Hack Wall-Buy weapons to reduce their price and Pack-a-Punch ammo cost.
- Hack Perk Machines to refund the Perk and Points spent.
- Hack players to give them 500 Points.
- Hack Pack-a-Punch to lock yourself in the cage for 30 seconds.
- Hack zombie barriers to get 100 Points and build all boards instantly.
- Hack locked doors to open them for 200 Points.
