Sidearms play an important role in Mortal Shell 2's combat, giving you another way to deal damage or apply useful effects alongside your main weapon. There are eight sidearms to find throughout the game, and Merrick can mark their locations on your map if you are willing to pay the required Gold.
If you would rather save your hard-earned currency, or have already marked a sidearm but cannot figure out exactly where it is, this guide covers the location of every sidearm in Mortal Shell 2.

How to Get Every Sidearm in Mortal Shell 2
Naylshotte
The Naylshotte is your starting sidearm and cannot be missed if you play through the prologue normally. After the Festival, speak with the Undermether to receive your starting equipment, including the Naylshotte, your starting weapon, and the Seal.
If you played the Open Beta and chose to skip the prologue, the Naylshotte will already be equipped when you begin the main game.
Troubadour's Lute

The Troubadour's Lute is found inside the One-Legged Wolf Tavern, but you first need the Mother's Breath ability to reach this area. You unlock it after collecting and siphoning eight Ova.
Once you have Mother's Breath, travel to the Mushroom Village Beacon and head right toward the house where Hilga can be found. Continue through the corruption and take the first left. Follow the path past the dungeon until you reach the One-Legged Wolf Beacon.
From here, head down the path and enter the Tavern. You will find several NPCs inside, along with a Barkeep who sells various items. Look toward the stage on the left to find the Troubadour's Lute.
The Lute is unique among the game's sidearms because it cannot be upgraded. Instead, it can inflict Confusion, causing affected enemies to fight one another for a few seconds.
Forgotten Crossbow

The Forgotten Crossbow is located inside the Flooded Village dungeon. From the Blackridge Pass Beacon, head down and toward the west until you find a stone doorframe with a wooden barricade blocking it.
Break through the barricade and look through the opening from the left side to reveal the entrance to the dungeon. Once inside, you will need to find the Damp Key. Explore the house on the left to locate it, then bring the key back and use it on the locked door. The Forgotten Crossbow can be found beyond it.
Salvaged Trebuchaxe
Start at the Gloomshade Grove Beacon and head south, passing the Citadel and continuing toward the water below. This is where you can encounter the Bloodcursed Lithopod, which drops the Citadel Gate Lever when defeated.

The entrance to the Ravaged Hideout dungeon is located nearby. Enter the dungeon and make your way through to the very end to find the Salvaged Trebuchaxe.
Triarch Repeater

Fast travel to the Castigator's Keep Beacon and head north. You will eventually need to drop down into the area below, where you can find the entrance to Blackwell Cavern.
The dungeon is particularly dark, making it difficult to see your surroundings as you explore. Continue through Blackwell Cavern, and you will eventually find the Triarch Repeater inside.
Ballistazooka
From the Gate of Mammon Beacon, head northwest until you reach a fort containing the entrance to Sentry's Grave.
Inside, you will encounter numerous enemies equipped with ballistas. You can deal with them as you progress, but several more can be found near the final boss arena. Rather than fighting every enemy, you can run toward the arena to avoid taking unnecessary damage.
Inside, you will face the Subjugated Guardian. Deal with the enemies on either side first by using the stairs to reach them, then focus your attention on the boss. Defeating the Subjugated Guardian rewards you with the Ballistazooka.
Caged Hystrix
To get the Caged Hystrix, start at the Silent Steps Beacon and use the Bone Gate directly ahead to reach the upper area. Head up and then left to find Sariel, the Endless.
Defeat Sariel to open the door behind the nearby statue. Go through the door, climb the stairs and enter the Chamber of Becoming dungeon.
Sariel will appear again inside, but this encounter has a unique gimmick that prevents you from defeating him normally. Destroy the four stone tablets around the arena and then defeat Sariel to finally end the fight. You will receive a weapon and Sariel's Shell for your efforts.
Once the fight is over, continue up the stairs to find the Caged Hystrix sidearm.
Cursed Child

The Cursed Child is found inside the Revered Beacon dungeon near the Abbey Entrance. From the Abbey Entrance Beacon, head up the stairs into the fort ahead. When you spot a path on the right with some steps leading down, follow this route until you exit the building.
Then, immediately take a left followed by another left to spot an enemy wielding an Obsidian Hammer. Go past him, and the dungeon entrance should be right ahead.

This dungeon works differently from most others because the light itself can damage you, forcing you to stay in the darkness as you make your way through the area. Fighting the enemies is optional, so you can focus on moving between safe areas and avoiding the light.
Continue toward the source of the light at the end of the dungeon. Once you reach it, attack the source to destroy it and receive the Cursed Child sidearm.
