Weapons in Mortal Shell 2 are not particularly common during your first few hours, making every new weapon you discover feel like a meaningful upgrade to your arsenal. Once you acquire a weapon, you can use it immediately and later upgrade it at the Tarforge in Marrow Keep, provided you have the required materials and Gold.

There are eight weapons in total, and Merrick can mark their locations on your map in exchange for Gold. If you would rather save your hard-earned currency, here's where to find every weapon in Mortal Shell 2.

How to Get Every Weapon in Mortal Shell 2

Iconoclast

The Iconoclast is your starting weapon and cannot be missed. During the prologue, you will eventually speak with the Undermether and receive your first Shell, Harros.

Once you get back up with Harros equipped, the Iconoclast will also be added to your inventory. You can use it throughout the game or switch to another weapon whenever you acquire one.

Axe & Dagger

The Axe & Dagger can be easy to miss if you focus entirely on the main objectives and Corrupt Gates. The weapon is located at the end of the Shrine of Trials, but you first need the Chapel Key.

From the Mushroom Village Beacon, head right and go down past the wooden bridge to find several dancing villagers. Deal with them and look for the stone doorframe nearby. Pass through it from the side with the steps to reveal a statue with a rope hanging beside it. The Chapel Key is attached to this rope.

Take the key to the area left of the Mushroom Village Beacon, where you will find the Grisha Hunters and their caged Grisha Pup. The locked door behind the cage leads to the Shrine of Trials. Use the Chapel Key to enter the dungeon.

You will find a few puzzles where you have to push a stone block onto the pressure pads using your melee weapon. Once you get to the final room, deal with the Knight enemy to find the Axe & Dagger up ahead.

Veteran's Battle Axe

The Veteran's Battle Axe is found inside The King's Crypt, located far north of the Mushroom Village Beacon. Once inside the dungeon, you will need to drop down into a large hole before progressing through the area. Continue through The King's Crypt and deal with the enemies along the way. The Veteran's Battle Axe can be found at the end of the dungeon.

Great Martyr's Blade

To find the Great Martyr's Blade, start at the Gloomshade Grove Beacon and head northeast until you find the entrance to Martyr's Prison. Make sure you are looking for the dungeon outside the walls of the Citadel of Penance.

After entering Martyr's Prison, interact with the small pouch to teleport into the main section of the dungeon. From there, make your way through the area until you reach the end, where the Great Martyr's Blade is waiting for you.

Obsidian Hammer

The Obsidian Hammer is located inside the Obsidianite Mines, which can be found southeast of the Outskirts of Mammon Beacon.

Enter the dungeon and work your way through the mines until you reach the end. There, you will have to defeat the Prophet of Profane Infinities. Defeating this boss rewards you with the Obsidian Hammer.

Axatana

To find the Axatana, start at the Sester's Gate Beacon and make your way southwest toward the Forgotten Tower, the same location where you can offer the Glands while in Night Mode.

Continue past the Forgotten Tower and use the Bone Gate to reach the other tower. You will first need to activate a button before entering. Inside, you will encounter an enemy wielding dual swords. Defeat this enemy and you can collect the Axatana.

Clockwork Scythe

The Clockwork Scythe is found inside the Chamber of Becoming, but getting there requires you to first defeat Sariel, the Endless outside the dungeon. To reach him, you will need to fast travel to the Silent Steps beacon if you have already unlocked it.

If you haven't, you will need to make your way to the southeastern part of the map. From the beacon, use the Bone Gate nearby to reach the area above, then ignore the cultist enemies ahead and go left. You will soon spot Sariel standing on your left.

After defeating Sariel, a gate behind the nearby statue will open, giving you access to the Chamber of Becoming. Enter the dungeon and you will encounter Sariel again. This time, however, defeating him normally will not work as he will get back up.

Because of this, you will need to look around the arena for four stone tablets. They are glowing from the bottom making them very easy to spot. Destroy all four tablets before landing the final blow onto Sariel. Once the gimmick has been dealt with, you can finally defeat the boss for good and receive the Clockwork Scythe. You can also claim Sariel's Shell in the same area.

Black Needle

The Black Needle is located at the southeastern Corrupt Gate. As you approach the gate, you will find the Sester's Gate Beacon nearby.

Enter the beacon and progress through to the end so that you can cleanse it to get the Ova. At the end, you will have to fight the Stray Sesters. Defeat them to complete the encounter and receive the Black Needle as your reward.
